Who's There - 16 Open LSC Week 1

<p>If you know Texas Junior Volleyball, you know Lone Star Classic is our favorite Trilogy. Three consecutive weekends displaying the most competitive volleyball as teams take their shot at a National Bid. Though, this year there is a twist! 4 cities playing host to our favored tournament has called for all hands on deck to cover this much volleyball. We started with Calling out some 15s we expect to see, now, 16s you're up! </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">LS Region</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Isabella Gomez, an outside hitter for HJV 16 Elite, is a player you won't want to miss in the 16 Open division. She brings a powerful and aggressive presence from the pin, consistently attacking with confidence and precision. Known for lighting up the line all game long, Isabella sets the tone early. Using sharp, well-placed line shots that often catch defenders off guard before they can adjust. Her ability to start fast and apply pressure makes her an offensive force that's tough to slow down.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='519325' first='Bianca' last='Mohr'], setter for AP 16 Adidas, is the engine that keeps her team running smoothly. She operates with a quick tempo delivering precise sets that allow her hitters to stay in rhythm and with confidence. From the very first ball, Bianca establishes a strong, consistent pace and does an excellent job maintaining it throughout the match. Her hustle is constant—she tracks down every ball and works tirelessly to put herself in position—while her ability to consistently get clean two hands on the ball ensures controlled, accurate distribution. Her leadership and consistency make her a key piece of her team's success.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">NT Region</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='580647' first='Ally' last='Hawkins'], setter for Tejas 16 Black, is a versatile playmaker whose size and skill set give her the ability to confidently run a 5-1 when needed. She delivers sets that look flawless right out of her hands, consistently putting her hitters in great positions to succeed. Ally's composure and control elevate the tempo of her offense, while her presence on the court is undeniable—she commands attention and brings a steady confidence that her team feeds off of.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='952410' first='Kensey' last='Doss'] big middle blocker for NRG 16 AMPD Navy. Coming off a team-high performance at NEQ and proving herself as a true force in the middle. A transition queen, consistently putting herself in position to be a scoring threat. She moves efficiently and stays available in every phase of the rally. What sets her apart is her ability to attack the corners, forcing defenses to stay honest and opening up the court for her team. Her presence at the net is dynamic and hard to contain, making her a standout and a true sight to see in the 16 Open division.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='580660' first='Carley' last='Ward'], DS/L for TAV 16 Black, is only passing dimes and making it look easy. She's a defender who reads the court exceptionally well, anticipating plays and positioning herself perfectly behind the serve. Carley understands the game at a high level, consistently making smart decisions that keep rallies alive and her team in system. Whether it's serve receive or digging tough swings, she's doing everything it takes to protect the backcourt and give her team a chance to win every point.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='805792' first='Autumn' last='Proctor'], outside hitter for Northpoint 16 Pali, has been a key piece for a team that's impressed all season long. With strong runs across their schedule, players like Autumn have proven to be true difference makers. She brings a powerful swing and a sharp volleyball IQ, making smart decisions and finding ways to score in a variety of situations. What stands out even more is her all-around effort—her impact doesn't stop at the net, as she steps up defensively when her team needs it most. Autumn's versatility and consistency make her a player to watch every time she takes the court.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Landry McRae, the 6-rotation setter for Excel 16N Red, is coming in with momentum after chasing down a successful bid with her team at NEQ. Now the question is—can they do it again? With Landry running the show all the way around, it certainly seems possible. She sets a quick tempo and does an impressive job commanding the net from any position, giving her hitters consistent opportunities to stay aggressive. Her versatility and leadership make a noticeable impact on every rally. All eyes will be on her at LSC, where she'll look to keep that momentum rolling.</p>
