Who's There - 16 USA LSC Week 1

<p>Lonestar Classic is looking a little different this year, but that has not changed all the hype.4 citites, 3 weekends, of nonstop competition. If you've been around, we have been talking about who will be in the house in Houston for week 1. I have done my role call of 15s divisions, and we are now on round two of 16s preparing for play. USA division, who will we see at George R Brown CC Easter weekend? </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 Open </h2>   <p>If you missed the first part of 16s role call, no worries! Zoey is not new to our radar, she is something to see amidst competitive play. Her strong swing and vertical put her in great scoring positions. Though, the best part about watching her take the floor, is watching her adjust to the set, read the defense, and make a high IQ attack decision.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='785701' first='Libby' last='Obert'], hustle queen DS/L for Arsenal 16 Gold. Like any great defender, Libby's feet are always moving. She does well positioning herself around the ball completely every time she passes. Her hustle and play making are impressive and a definite aide to her team's success thus far into the season. With stakes so high going into LSC, there's no doubt Libby's defense will show out against the best.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='846594' first='Kenzie' last='Busse'], Libero for [program_tooltip program_id='475085' first='1United' last=''] 16 N Blue, brings control to court. She is confident and present from the start of every match. With Kenzie in the backcourt, defense is never hesitating. She leads vocally, with her energy, and most importantly by example. Wherever the play is happening, Kenzie is sure in the middle of it bringing poise and control to the rally.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 USA - LS</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Emily Corkill, 6 rotation setter for SA Juniors 16 Adidas. Running a 5-1 offense is no small feat, and Emily does it well! She moves the ball well at the net and with no hesitation. Her sets are clean and the ball reversal is smooth out of her hands. A setter with this poise, IQ, and size, undoubtedly keeps a team flowing in hard play.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='574973' first='Abigail' last='Powell'], Outside hitter for MoCo Mavs 16 Red is a surprise treat. She may not be the biggest in size, but her energy, effort, and swing are leveled with big competitors. Abigail transitions well, is consistently putting herself in position to be an offensive option. Her swing is strong, but her true strength is found in her ability to read the defense and attack the holes on the defending side. Swing, tip, or roll, Abigail is going to attack it with intent to score.</p>
