6 of the Youngest Passers with Big Impact at West Coast Showcase

At the West Coast Showcase, age didn't limit impact—and this group of young passers proved exactly that. Competing against older, more experienced athletes, they held their own and then some, bringing confidence, composure, and high-level ball control to the back row.   From locking down serve receive to chasing down tough defensive plays, these athletes showed maturity beyond their years. They didn't just keep the ball alive—they created opportunities and helped their teams stay in system against top competition.   Here's a look at the youngest passers who made a big impact and showed the future of the position is in great hands.    [player_tooltip player_id='530048' first='Amelia' last='Litschke'] was a powerhouse in the back row, bringing a confident, commanding presence to the court. She made strong defensive reads and consistently put herself in position to make impactful plays.   She made an immediate difference for her team across multiple areas—anchoring the defense, covering her hitters with purpose, and staying engaged in every rally. A high-impact presence who elevated those around her.     Molly Thomas showcased picture-perfect technique in both her passing and diving, making difficult plays look controlled and composed. She was quick on her feet in pursuit of the ball, coming up with multiple impressive saves throughout the showcase.   Her reads in the back row were sharp, consistently putting her in the right position, and she stayed highly communicative and engaged in serve receive. A fundamentally sound defender who brings consistency and reliability to every rally. She plays with pure intent, doing whatever it takes to keep the ball alive—and that consistency showed throughout the entire showcase.   Her reads were strong from both left and middle back, allowing her to anticipate plays and position herself effectively. In serve receive, she was steady and reliable, delivering quality passes that kept her team in system. What really stood out was her motor—her all-out hustle and commitment made her a constant defensive presence and a player her team could always count on. She stayed actively engaged—covering her hitters, tracking balls out of bounds when needed, and doing a great job protecting the corners.   She was vocal with her reads, confidently identifying hitters' tendencies and calling out line or cross with accuracy. What made her performance even more impressive was her age—you'd never guess she's only in 8th grade. She played with composure, confidence, and maturity well beyond her years, and her future in the sport is incredibly bright.     [player_tooltip player_id='954069' first='Naisha' last='More'] excelled in serve receive, showing early footwork and strong positioning to consistently deliver quality passes. Her consistency and control helped keep her team in system throughout the showcase.   What stood out just as much was her engagement—she stayed active on every rally, covering her hitters, moving her feet, and staying ready even when the ball wasn't directly coming to her. She pursued every ball with urgency and refused to give up on a play. With her work ethic and mindset, she's a defender who will continue to rise.     Dylan showcased incredible heart and grit in the back row, competing with confidence and composure well beyond her years. She was impactful out of both middle and left back, communicating and organizing like a seasoned player.   It was hard to believe she's only in the class of 2031 with how quickly she adapted to a high-level environment. She put up great out-of-system balls, covered a wide range with ease, and stayed engaged in every rally.
