And it all comes down to this weekend!   Here's a look at the contenders we're most excited to watch, along with our predictions and the teams firmly on our watch list heading into the weekend.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1 Top Match Ups </h2>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Rev 17 Elite vs Storm 17 Lightning</h3>   Both of these squads have put together impressive seasons, consistently showing just how close they are to breaking through for a bid at major travel qualifiers. They've competed at a high level across out-of-state qualifiers and continue to hold their own in AZ Open against top-tier competition—it's clear this group is built for the national stage. Coming in at #4, [player_tooltip player_id='822894' first='Brooklyn' last='Black'] has been a major presence at the net, moving well laterally, staying available in transition, and making smart, efficient decisions with her attacks. She plays a step ahead, with a clear command of her offense and a drive to put her team in the best position to succeed.   They'll be tested by EVJ 17 Elite, a team that has already punched its ticket to Nationals after securing a bid at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier in the USA division. Coming in at #7, EVJ is looking to make another statement and prove just how dangerous they are. Coming in ranked #5, Atomic continues to prove why they're a team you can never count out. After securing a bid in Las Vegas and finishing 6th in the USA division, they've solidified themselves as a legitimate national contender. Here are our predictions on who's going to contend for a bid on day 2:   AZ Sky 17 Gold - There's no question this team has been one of the most impressive squads all season, and it feels like only a matter of time before they secure a bid. Coming in at #1—and rightfully so—they're loaded across every position. The offense is in great hands with Hailey Johnson and [player_tooltip player_id='845340' first='Cassidy' last='Armstrong'] running a fast, balanced system, while [player_tooltip player_id='881802' first='Aubrey' last='Burns'] anchors the back row with steady, high-level defense. This is a complete team that continues to prove why they sit at the top.   Aspire 17 Alpha - Coming in ranked #2, this is another squad that has consistently challenged itself in Open all season long, coming up just short of a bid but proving they're right there in the mix. They're loaded on the pins, with Lucy Solorozano and [player_tooltip player_id='778035' first='Kalista' last='Fuller'] creating problems from multiple points along the net and providing a dynamic, reliable offensive presence.
