It's one of the biggest tournaments of the season for a lot of reasons. The Mid-East Qualifier brings in the talent from every corner of the country. From the midwest to the south, to Texas and the PNW, we had representatives from just about everywhere you could imagine. All on the hunt for their bid to return back to the Circle City this summer.

Not only does MEQ bring the heat in terms of talent, but its the half way mark of the regular season in the club season. Qualifier season is nearing its end and we're just 6 weeks away from the quiet period that May brings. From there, its the almighty race for national championships in June and July. We're seeing teams hit their stride and playing some of their best volleyball yet.

The 17 Open remains to be one of the most sought after division in the country. These players have sometime to prove and for many, it is their last go around before hitting the early grad trend next winter. TAV, once again, dominated the field, winning in a dominated 10-0 fashion. OTVA came up short in challenging the clear front runners for the 17 Open title come Summer time. We also saw the emergence of teams like [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] and 1st Alliance bring themselves within the conversation with big weekends.

There is a LOT of volleyball to break down here from the 2026 Mid-East Qualifier, let's take a look at more of the Hot Shots in the 17 Open.

[player_tooltip player_id='480396' first='Peyton' last='Kubik'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']

There's no doubt how this player is on the fast track to being one of top emerging players in the country next year. This weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='480396' first='Peyton' last='Kubik'] not only saw herself dominate on the courts of the Indianapolis Convention Center, but she also dominated at the UA Next All-America Camp. Here, she was selected to take part in the 2026 All-America games in December. Kubik kept this momentum going throughout the weekend and led her Dynasty squad to a top five finish in 17 Open.

[player_tooltip player_id='446251' first='Kylee' last='Webb'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']

If it wasn't going to Kubik on the left pin, you could very easily throw it back to [player_tooltip player_id='446251' first='Kylee' last='Webb'] on the right side to a high efficiency. In the crunch time moments, Webb was rising to the top and scoring at a very nice rate. Her production on the right pin created quite the tandem with her pin counterparts and opened up a lot of different opportunities for all attackers for Dynasty.

[player_tooltip player_id='446324' first='Sasha' last='Cromer'] - [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='Power']

[player_tooltip player_id='446324' first='Sasha' last='Cromer'] is one of the top setters in her class for several reasons. All of which were being showcased here at the Mid-East Qualifier. The Auburn commit brings a lot of fast paced play to the court. Always pushing the edge of the envelope, she likes to run a fast tempo and call her own number from time to time.

[player_tooltip player_id='586613' first='Ellie' last='Bain'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']

This is another setter from the Kansas City area that really caught my eye from MEQ. [player_tooltip player_id='586613' first='Ellie' last='Bain'] has herself quite the arsenal of weapons, but its when she opts to fire them off is what makes her and her squad so effective. While maintaining a balanced offense, Bain was finding her attackers from many different zones on the court and scoring at high rates.

[player_tooltip player_id='445556' first='Tessa' last='Nover-Estes'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last='']

PVA is a squad that hasn't been on my radar too much this season. However, behind the play of [player_tooltip player_id='445556' first='Tessa' last='Nover-Estes'] at the setter position, they have more than captured my attention. Nover-Estes runs a smooth offense with a variety of routes that she can run her attackers on. PVA played a big spoiler to a lot of teams this weekend and ended up stealing a bid in the process.

Camryn Minatee - [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']

We cannot talk Dynasty volleyball without talking about their leader of the defense, Camryn Minatee. I was loving this player's go at the back court throughout the weekend. She's a lengthier libero and this allows her to reach a lot of court with little effort. All this to say, Minatee takes up a ton of court space in both reception and defense, freeing up her attackers to do their job.

Molly Bokenkroger - [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last='']

Alongside Nover-Estes, Molly Bokenkroger was relentless in PVA's pursuit of a bid. On Day 3 specifically, I thought Bokenkroger in left back was impeccable. Her defensive reads were spot on, her touch on the ball was pristine and she was putting her squad steps ahead of her opponents.
