I don’t know how athletes who are part of volleyball families feel about the comparisons between their game and their sisters, but Peyton Kubik of Dynasty 17 Black has so many amazing qualities that I also saw when covering her older sisters in Madi Kubik and Hayden Kubik.  When I started at Prep Dig back in 2018 I was able to see Madi Kubik and Hayden Kubik rise to an elite level where they prepped at West Des Moines Valley High School in Iowa.  Madi would go on to play at Nebraska and Hayden would start at Nebraska and finish with a successful career at Tennessee.  Peyton Kubik is next in line where she was a key part of the success of Dynasty 17 Black who earned an open bid.  There is a maturity about the game of Kubik, she passes well where her platform is quiet, under control.  As an attacker she is able to play on the outside and right side while also being an option to score out of middle back.  She swings big, but is also incredibly efficient.  This is a well balanced Dynasty squad with great chemistry, but at the end of the day when you have a point scorer like Kubik it sends your team to another level. 

As a dynamic pin, Peyton Kubik brought versatility and edge to the court. Peyton attacked from multiple angles, adjusting mid-air to tool hands or roll to deep corners when needed. Her transition speed allowed her to be available in every rotation, and she showed discipline in both blocking assignments and defensive reads.

Beyond the swings, Peyton led with example. She communicated coverage, celebrated hustle plays, and maintained intensity without losing composure. The balance of athleticism and maturity she displayed is what inspires the next generation. Peyton plays like someone who understands others are watching. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Another Pitt commit is in the house this weekend for the Northern Lights Qualifier.  Peyton Kubik of Dynasty 17 Black out of Kansas City will make the trip to Minneapolis.  Dynasty is a perennial contender in the Open field and they will look to grab an early bid.  Kubik will be a key piece to their success as a six rotation outside hitter.  She is a blend of power and finesse where she can just shred a defense from the outside, but can essentially score from anywhere on the court. 

Kubik collected 483 kills and 250 digs. I am bestowing her with the new title of “Miss Kansas Consistency.” She has finished with 400-plus kills and 200-plus digs in all three high school seasons. Her career numbers to date with the defending Class 6A State Champions include 1,309 kills and 696 digs. She is ranked No. 2 overall by Prep Dig Kansas and has verbally committed to the University of Pittsburgh, the alma mater of two of my favorite NFL players, Tony Dorsett and Dan Marino.

Kubik led the Class 6A State Champion Jaguars in kills with 483 in 87 sets played. She has reached the 1,000-career kill plateau. Through three prep seasons, she has tallied 1,309 kills. Kubik also registered three straight seasons with at least 200 digs. She is ranked No. 2 overall and has verbally committed to the University of Pittsburgh.

Kubik leads the Jaguars in kills. In the Jaguars’ first 37 sets played, she had punished the opposition for 188 kills. She is ranked No. 2 overall by Prep Dig Kansas and has verbally committed to playing for the Pittsburgh Panthers after graduation. She reached the 1,000-career kill plateau earlier this season. She can play six rotations and has registered 88 digs and 14 blocks.
