Texas 2027 Watch List Liberos Vol 4

Who are players that all college coaches should be giving a legitimate shot to? We have the answer in our Official Watch List. We have scoured the entire state to bring to you players who deserve to have a shot to be recruited by scouts and college coaches all across the nation. This article series will be highlighting them and what they bring to the table. Let's get to know some liberos who are listed and why.    [player_tooltip player_id='726376' first='Jaden' last='Buffington'], a Class of 2027 libero from Klein High School and [program_tooltip program_id='499169' first='MoCo' last='MAVS'] Volleyball Club, has earned her spot on the Prep Dig Texas 2027 Watch List through consisten play in the back row in both serve receive and defense. At 5'3" she plays with the explosive lateral movement and defensive instincts that you cannot manufacture through training alone, showing the kind of court IQ that tells you she has been processing the game at a high level for years. [program_tooltip program_id='499169' first='MoCo' last='MAVS'] Volleyball Club, based out of Montgomery County, is a community-focused program built on progressive training and evidence-based coaching that has produced ranked athletes on the Prep Dig Texas watch list. Jaden is a competitive and well-coached back row prospect who college programs should be tracking closely entering her senior season. We are very proud to have her listed on our Official Watch List and will be keeping our eye on her progress.     [player_tooltip player_id='575263' first='Audrey' last='White'], a Class of 2027 libero from Klein Cain High School and Renegades Volleyball Club, is a back row competitor who has been forged in one of the most competitive districts in the state of Texas. At 5'4" she plays with a sharpness and decisiveness in her reads that makes her effective despite her height, and her ability to stay disciplined in serve receive while contributing defensively in scramble situations is what earns her this recognition. Audrey is a player who has proven herself in a tough environment and brings the tools and the competitive background to generate real interest at the next level. We are very proud to have her listed on our Official Watch List and will be keeping our eye on her progress.     [player_tooltip player_id='501893' first='Chandler' last='Carter'], a Class of 2027 libero from Klein Collins High School in Spring and [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] Volleyball Club, has already answered the most important question in recruiting by committing to Kansas State University, making her one of the more decorated back row prospects on the entire Texas 2027 Watch List. At 5'8" she brings an elite physical profile to the libero position, combining the height that creates platform angle advantages with the footwork and court coverage that you need from your primary defensive anchor. [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] is one of the premier club programs in the state with a long history of developing and placing players at the collegiate level, and the coaching she has received there has clearly accelerated her trajectory. Chandler is a committed prospect who has already validated her Watch List status with the kind of decision that reflects serious evaluation from a Power Five coaching staff. We are very proud to have her listed on our Official Watch List and will be keeping our eye on her progress.     [player_tooltip player_id='483412' first='Brooklyn' last='Ross'], a Class of 2027 libero from Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield and NRG Volleyball Club, has built one of the most impressive individual resumes of any back row player in the 2027 class in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She earned District Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and followed that with District Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore, back-to-back individual honors that demonstrate she has not simply been along for the ride but actively leading her program's defensive effort from the moment she stepped on the varsity court. Her statistics speak directly to the volume and quality of her contributions, with 378 digs, a 3.4 dig-per-set average, and 530 serve receive receptions in a single season as an underclassman. At 5'3" she plays well beyond what her height suggests, using elite court reading and explosive first-step movement to get to balls that most players never reach. She also led Lake Ridge all the way to the UIL 6A D1 bi-district round in 2025 before falling to eventual national champion Byron Nelson, which tells you she has been competing against the best and performing. Brooklyn is one of the more accomplished liberos on the Texas Watch List and programs that have not already reached out need to do so immediately.
