Chandler Carter Chandler Carter 5'8" | DS/L/OH Klein Collins | 2027 TX , a Class of 2027 libero from Klein Collins High School in Spring and TAV Houston Volleyball Club, has already answered the most important question in recruiting by committing to Kansas State University, making her one of the more decorated back row prospects on the entire Texas 2027 Watch List. At 5’8″ she brings an elite physical profile to the libero position, combining the height that creates platform angle advantages with the footwork and court coverage that you need from your primary defensive anchor. TAV Houston is one of the premier club programs in the state with a long history of developing and placing players at the collegiate level, and the coaching she has received there has clearly accelerated her trajectory. Chandler is a committed prospect who has already validated her Watch List status with the kind of decision that reflects serious evaluation from a Power Five coaching staff. Chandler has one of the best platforms I have seen, and her skill set truly stands out on the court. She is exceptionally disciplined when it comes to creating her angles to target while digging and in serve receive, showcasing a level of focus that is impressive. Her amazing ball control allows her to handle even the most challenging serves and spikes with ease, ensuring that she can react quickly and effectively. Additionally, she is incredibly fast, consistently moving all over the back row, where she skillfully covers and shadows her teammates, always ready to assist when the ball isn’t hers. This relentless work ethic and attention to detail not only elevate her game but also inspire her teammates to perform at their best. Moreover, she possesses great hands when needing to set the second ball, demonstrating her versatility and enhancing her team’s offensive strategies. Carter is an outside hitter with Klein Collins High School and the Texas Legacy club. Because of her backcourt skills, she’s able to play as a libero/defensive specialist too, but she knows her way around the net, being very efficient at hitting around the block and finding ways to put the ball down. Carter is as solid as it gets with her passing and can cover a lot of ground in serve-receive and keep her team in system. The outside hitter has incredible consistency and contributes to her team’s success with steady production on both sides of the ball.
