Under the Radar in 16 Open to Key in on at Can Am

Just in a few weeks teams will be duking it out in Orlando and Indianapolis looking to be crowned a national champion! </p>   <p>First, we have to go into the downtime of May. Every year there is one tournament to commence what I call the "regular season" of club volleyball before heading into June where we see the "post season" begin. There's no better place to be in the midwest to commence that regular season than Can Am Classic in Detroit!</p>   <p>This is where the picture becomes much clearer than before going into the big recruiting wave ahead.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='977222' first='Reegan' last='Klinski'] - Five:1</h2>   <p>I really liked what I saw from this player in the fall. With Frankenmuth, this 6'0 middle blocker was doing some real fun things. From her range as an attacker to hit around the court and a variety of tempo sets to her lateral movement on the block, [player_tooltip player_id='977222' first='Reegan' last='Klinski'] is a sneakily effective player in the position. Her growing range only continues to ascend her game further too. With Five:1, she is the staple piece to victory. If they cannot run through their ace in the middle, this team can fall into trouble.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='817491' first='Olivia' last='Brown'] - Legacy</h2>   <p>This player has been rumbling under the radar for quite some time. [player_tooltip player_id='817491' first='Olivia' last='Brown'] comes from a pocket of the state that is almost a "no-mans land" when it comes to high level ball. [player_tooltip player_id='817491' first='Olivia' last='Brown'], a talent with huge upside, has made the jump - and the road trip - to Legacy this season to great avail. Her length at 6'2 offers a lot of different opportunities to use her on either pin. She's developed quite the quick arm swing that is allowing her to pick up to the speed in which the open level requires.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='765783' first='Ava' last='Finney'] - Legacy</h2>   <p>If there is a bright spot on this Legacy 2s team, it is surely the play in the middle by [player_tooltip player_id='765783' first='Ava' last='Finney']. A product out of Flushing, Finney has all the makings to be a strong middle blocker at the next level. She has the size, she has the athleticism and her game is growing vastly. Her block has come long ways since last season and her offensive range has only become more effectively.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman'] - Michigan Elite</h2>   <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2025/09/DSC08512.jpg?w=769" alt="" class="wp-image-890510" style="width:227px;height:auto" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">[player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman']</figcaption></figure>   <p>Towards the latter parts of the season last year, [player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman'] seemingly had a breakthrough. Since then, she has only continued to explore new heights. Bowman had a really strong fall with Plymouth Christian, finding herself in a full time role in a dynamic one-two punch on the pins with Riley Pilat. All this momentum coming into the club season, Bowman continues to move in the right direction heading into the June 15th date. She's still that heavy arm that we saw a season ago, but her vision is what becomes eye popping. This is a player unafraid to go for new, different shots in attempt to score and keep defenses honest.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='752615' first='Eliana' last='Hulst'] - MVA</h2>   <p>MVA has one promising group of athletes in their 16s group. With an exciting prospect from every angle, there is one player that should be a touch higher on the radar and that's [player_tooltip player_id='752615' first='Eliana' last='Hulst']. This is a lengthier attacker on the pins, standing at 6'2 and with an arm span that seems to be even longer. Hulst has the potential to be a dominating player as she comes more into her size and movement on the court. Surely a prospect worth every eyeball.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='783033' first='Lillian' last='Weakley'] - TVC</h2>   <p>Speaking of players with some eye catching size, [player_tooltip player_id='783033' first='Lillian' last='Weakley'] is one that has earned every view. At 6'3 in the middle, Weakley is an imposing presence to say the least. She gives the opposing attackers on heckuva time finding ways to score as she's so strong taking up space at the net. From there, her transition offense looks to be a vastly improved aspect of her game. </p>
