Catching Up with Nebraska Showcase Alums in 2026 Club Season

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's bring this series to my home turf.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've been having a blast oscillating back and forth between Nebraska and Kansas coverage on the Prep Dig family of sites. Longtime readers will know that my roots are in the Cornhusker State, but I've been embracing the opportunity to branch out and give the Heart of America Region some time in the spotlight.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Our most recent wave of articles on the Kansas site revisited some of last December's Exposure Tour standouts who have carried momentum through the 2026 club season. This has been a fun way to rekindle old showcase memories while looking forward to the Prep Dig Circuit venues coming up this summer. Nebraska is included in that July campaign, and we hope to see some of you there!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Why not compile some Nebraska recollections, too? Dozens of athletes braved a December snowstorm to join last winter's Exposure Tour, and we've been fortunate to cover many of these names through the spring thaw. We've lauded her immediate game-changing impact when she rotates into the Premier Nebraska 17 Silver frontcourt. This Millard West senior-to-be boasts an exceptional crosscourt shot and can drive defenders back with her power. Devers has also flourished as a wing blocker who can aid 17 Silver's gritty, disciplined defense. She joined Banzai VBC 18 Power for the 2026 campaign and has delivered all the ball control excellence we've witnessed at our showcases. Aside from her willingness to lock down the end line, Fogelstrom has also established herself as an eager left-side attacker for her 18s crew. Cooper has been a do-everything athlete for Nebraska ONE 17 Lime, extending the hot streak she started last fall. She put down two kills per set with Lincoln High and is back to her terminal ways on the left antenna. Recent regional events have shown Cooper's big strides to get back into the spotlight with 17 Lime. Rihanek has been a frequent star for 16 Red, whether it's in the middle or on the right. Her refined blocking technique sets her apart, but December's Exposure Tour also revealed her explosiveness as a transition attacker. The team narrowly missed out on bid-clinching treks in 2025, but Bauer was determined not to miss out this time. She thrived on the NLQ stage while making further eye-popping plays at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. Bauer wields her length effectively and runs diverse routes in first-ball situations. That placed Myler firmly on our radar, even though she competes in Iowa on the prep side. This outside hitter's all-around prowess makes her a must-cover athlete regardless of state allegiance. Myler is a fluid pass-to-attack terminator who also sets the standard for 15 Apex's floor defense. Canales made the cross-state trek from Gering to Elkhorn for our Exposure Tour showcase, and we're so glad she did. This elite defender is getting used to Nebraska travels after she launched Gering High School into last fall's Class B state tournament. Her whopping 553 digs turned the tide for the Bulldogs, and Canales has been equally influential with WyoBraska Sky's 16s crew. The team has piled up tournament wins while crossing into the Rocky Mountain and Intermountain scenes.
