Nebraska Bid Tracker: Club Legacy 15 Alpha Adds Title Hardware

Club Legacy got another one.   We're not far removed from our coverage of Club Legacy 16 Alpha's championship triumph in NLQ's 16 American Blue division. That title run carried on a multi-year streak of qualifier takeovers for that team, but Club Legacy is building formidable contenders across the board. Now, the 15s get in on the action.   The Salt Lake City Showdown represents one of the final opportunities for teams to secure a GJNC bid through the qualifier circuit. Club Legacy 15 Alpha had already flashed its brilliance against regional competition, but April ended with the squad coming up just short of a Nationals bid at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. So, redemption would have to come through a trip out west.   And these miles were worthwhile. Just as 16 Alpha had done in Minneapolis, 15 Alpha stormed to the SLC title behind an unblemished 10-0 record. This golden climb added another Indianapolis-bound team to the Club Legacy ledger, cementing one of the group's best-ever club seasons. In short, Club Legacy did not drop a single set en route to the 15 Liberty championship. That almost says it all, but 15 Alpha still had its share of clutch moments during its Utah trek.   Day 1 set the tone with a trio of sweeps over TopFlight, Metro, and RRHEAT. A deuce first set in the finale was the closest 15 Alpha came to dropping a stanza.   Somehow, the team would be even more untouchable in Round 2. No 15 Alpha opponent managed to eclipse 20 points in a single set during Round 2 of pool play. Clearly, we had a divisional frontrunner visiting from the Great Plains Region.   Sunday's bracket debut might have been the peak of Club Legacy's SLC drama. 15 Alpha prevailed in a 31-29 opening set against MoCo MAVS, and the next frame would be just as contentious. Another two-point margin got the job done.   The big prize inched closer with wins over Sideout and Top Select, both of which held 15 USA bids from prior events. This impressive triumph was the perfect prelude to Club Legacy's championship berth.   A bid was already in hand at this point, but why not finish it off? 15 Alpha improved its overall set count to 20-0 with a win over MPV 15 National Green in the title bout.   16 Alpha now had company in Club Legacy's title-winning clubhouse.     <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/05/IMG_4268-edited.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-983683" style="width:334px;height:auto" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">O'Neil</figcaption></figure>   Next Up   Let's get reacquainted with Club Legacy's next generation of stars from the Class of 2029.   As our intro mentioned, we got a very recent in-person look at 15 Alpha through last month's Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. That venue offered a reminder of the team's high ceiling and incredibly versatile cast of athletes. It all came together for some qualifier magic in the Beehive State.   Frontcourt firepower established itself early and often at SLC. Unsurprisingly, Omaha Westview outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='932974' first='Josie' last='Peatrowsky'] has been a leader in this regard. This six-rotation star has been on our 2029 radar for a while after she immediately became Westview's top scorer last fall. It's a rare distinction for an Omaha-area freshman, but Peatrowsky brings the heat and range to make it possible.   She's connecting well with one of her Wolverine teammates, too. [player_tooltip player_id='961090' first='Maddie' last='O'Neil'] landed on one of our recent 2029 spotlights through her outstanding command of the 15 Alpha offense. She's a dynamic setter who can play around the dial in a 5-1 system. O'Neil generated constant split-block opportunities in Salt Lake City and wielded her mature feel for up-tempo distribution.   And O'Neil had a lot more gems to find along the net. 15 Alpha has enjoyed a renaissance in the middle with [player_tooltip player_id='961094' first='Grace' last='Lowndes'], [player_tooltip player_id='961100' first='Ellie' last='Dahlhauser'], and Delaney Green running the show. We recently praised Lowndes for her multi-dimensional work in the frontcourt, as she can terminate behind the setter if needed. Green fits seamlessly into the rotation on either side of the dial. Addelynn Samuelson has been an emerging star at the position and forms an exceptional block alongside her middles. Club Legacy can also look to [player_tooltip player_id='932992' first='Ila' last='Bolden'] to swing on the right side or run the offense-- or both. Bolden was a first-year starting setter at Bishop Neumann and has made an early case as one of Nebraska's best rural 2029s. Any system suits her.   Finally, we can address the wealth of defensive gems on the roster. 15 Alpha boasts a full armada that has brought Kadie Backman, [player_tooltip player_id='961093' first='Macy' last='Perrien'], and [player_tooltip player_id='961092' first='Natalie' last='Brabec'] into the picture. The Great Plains Region circuit has shown us how this trio can mesh into any lineup permutation imaginable. This led to the right combinations when it mattered. We can also give a nod to [player_tooltip player_id='801609' first='Ella' last='Thompson'], a stout backcourt defender who takes her game to the front row across from Peatrowsky. Thompson may embrace an occasional DS role, but her rocket arm on the left is too good to pass up.   Good luck filling out the lineup card at GJNC. It's a good problem to have.
