Five Setters to Watch at Lone Star Regionals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Texas is set to host one of the biggest and most exciting tournaments of the late portion of the club volleyball season this weekend, when the Lone Star Regionals come to Houston.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The tournament, which will reunite nearly 700 teams across 18 divisions between Saturday and Sunday at the George R. Brown Convention Center, in downtown Houston, also serves as a national qualifier, adding more charm and weight to one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teams from all over the Lone Star State will make the trip to Houston to compete and, with them, will be some of the most talented players in the state. As a six-footer with extremely clean setting hands, she has very promising tools at the position. Rajevac not only does a great job of remaining accurate and consistent with her locations, but also stands out for her decision-making and keeps the team operating in a smooth offensive rhythm. She uses her athleticism to efficiently track passes off the net and does a good job of remaining accurate even in out-of-system plays. When in system, Reed likes to accelerate the game and uses the middles and the pins very well. She's a very technical setter who uses her impressive ball control to deliver great sets to her hitters even when working with tight passes or passes well off the net. Adams is very precise with how she pushes the ball to the pins and can be accurate even in out-of-system plays. She has a very mature and advanced game for her age and, unsurprisingly, plays up with New Age. Prpa has some of the best setting hands in her age group and pairs it with an incredible ability to read the game, which results in a smooth, intelligent distribution on offense. She does a great job of keeping all her hitters involved and can be very creative with how she sets plays up. She first stood out as a promising setter a few years ago and has continued to develop her game as she has become more mature and added to her excellent technique. Rulmyr is an intriguing playmaker who uses her ball control and intelligence to keep her team in a strong offensive rhythm regardless of the situation.
