New Feature: Talent on the Twos Vol 1

It was a tough season, and I'm grateful to finally be through the hardest part. I still have a couple more months before I'm fully back to my normal schedule, but I'm happy to say the treatment effects that drained my energy and made writing difficult are behind me.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now for the new feature: <em>Talent on the Twos.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So often, the spotlight stays on the top teams in a club, the teams competing in Open, winning tournaments, and battling for [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] League titles. But there's a lot of talent on the second teams, too.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Many of these athletes could compete on top squads, but the “twos” often provide more opportunities for reps, development, and growth. She has the size and athletic ability to be a difference-maker on the floor. First, her footwork and approach to the ball are controlled and timely. Second, she uses good lower-body explosion on many of her attacks to generate [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']. She can swing and score from both pins with an array of shots. She has good court awareness and anticipation skills. She has displayed the offensive skill set to be an effective attacker on the outside. In the middle back on defense, she has covered a lot of territory, showing her lateral movement.
