This week is all about the class of 2028 finally receiving contact permission from their (hopefully) future coaches. But what about the remaining recruits in the class of ‘27? There are plenty to choose from here in Indiana. With the first three ‘28s off of the board being DS's, what liberi should be receiving a commitment from the class of ‘27? Here are five from five different clubs around the state that should expect a call sooner rather than later.

You can't deny the fact that Yorktown, and by extension Munciana, produce some of the nation's best pure passers. So why not take a flyer on Lyndsey? Cut from the same cloth as her fellow Tiger DS's, Miss Robinson is a footwork-first passer with a calm platform that can pass half the court on her own if you let her. On defense, she's one of the better read-and-react defenders out there, and understands what to do with the ball once she's asked to feed a hitter. Of the DS prospects remaining in the class of ‘27, Lyndsey is far and away the best of the bunch.

Calm under pressure and dominant in the left-back position, Maysa is the best available DS in the Evansville area in the class of ‘27. Every movement of hers, both playing and NOT playing the ball, looks uber smooth, and she makes defending look easy (which it isn't, by the way). I like the footwork, the long strides she takes to avoid crashing to the floor to make each and every touch of hers accurate for her setter.

As adept on the sand as she is indoors, Avery is a coach's dream—-a workhorse in the weight room, coachable to the end, and willing to hit the floor and do the dirty work to get the job done. She's seen a ton of success on the beach circuit for the last couple of summers now, and should be the heir apparent libero at 4A top ten Center Grove in the fall.

Bigger than your average DS, Alexis' skill set is extensive. She can play multiple back row positions, with correct footwork and platform placement for her setter to have an easier job. Asking her to be the second contact is simple, as she'll more than likely use her hands to make the set that much more hittable for her hitters. She's also tough behind the base line, and can create out-of-system situations regularly when serving with pace.

More than willing to step in front of her teammates to receive serve, Brylee excels in taking pressure off of her fellow defenders. Steady as she goes, Miss Faulk is a reliable defender and serve receive libero, which is becoming more and more rare now that multiple liberi are allowed in both club and college ball. I like the fact that she uses all of her length to get to each and every ball without having to hit the floor every other time because of a lack of proper footwork. She's from a smaller school and club, so she might be hard to find. But when you find her, she's well worth the recruiting time.
