We are a little more than a week into the frenzy that is the opening of the 2028 recruiting window. We highlighted many of the early commitments right after coaches could begin contacting prospects, but the list has continued to grow. Here are some more athletes from Kansas and Missouri who have announced where they'll continue their academic and volleyball careers.

One thing I learned while watching my daughter play in the American Conference last season is that Rice likes to keep talented sisters together. That trend will continue with the additions of [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] teammates Aaliyah and [player_tooltip player_id='518345' first='Nyah' last='Harris']. Aaliyah will join the Owls as a pin hitter, while Nyah will quarterback the offense as a setter.

The [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] pipeline doesn't stop there. [player_tooltip player_id='556998' first='Paisley' last='Hudson'] has committed to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi after helping Oak Grove make a deep postseason run last fall. Meanwhile, [player_tooltip player_id='518353' first='Mya' last='Lee'] is heading west down I-70 to Manhattan to join Kansas State. The outside hitter has been a key contributor to [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']']'s successful season and will look to cap it off with a strong showing at nationals.

Going back to the American Conference, Tulsa landed [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 16 Black setter [player_tooltip player_id='808106' first='Sophia' last='Sturdy']. She has been instrumental in helping [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] earn a top-seven seed in the Open Division entering next week's USAV National Championships.

Heading across the state to St. Louis, Wake Forest picked up HPSTL standout [player_tooltip player_id='828400' first='Gillian' last='Pfeiffer']. At 6-foot-3, Pfeiffer has the versatility to make an impact in the middle or on either pin at the collegiate level.

[player_tooltip player_id='518356' first='Molly' last='McGovern'] is staying close to home, committing to the University of Kansas. The [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] standout and Blue Valley product is a 6-foot-2 opposite who can put points on the board while also creating problems for opponents with her blocking.

Sticking with [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''], another Kubik is ready for the next chapter. [player_tooltip player_id='807962' first='Jensen' last='Kubik'] is headed west to join USC. The Trojans have recruited Kansas City exceptionally well over the past several years, and they continue that pipeline by adding another talented attacker.

The SEC also adds more Kansas City talent as [player_tooltip player_id='729533' first='Eleanor' last='Reisch'] has committed to Mississippi State. Yet another [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] standout is off the board.

One of my favorite setters to watch over the past couple of seasons, Grace Lutman, is headed to North Alabama. She doesn't demand attention, but she quietly controls matches and consistently makes the players around her better. Teammate Kate Hohman is also heading south, committing to Georgia Southern. The middle blocker has developed into one of the area's most consistent front-row players.

And let's not forget about the beach game.

[player_tooltip player_id='729470' first='Sarah' last='Albers'] is prepared to trade the Midwest for sunshine after committing to Florida State's beach volleyball program. The HPSTL 16 Royal standout stands 6-foot-2 and brings an imposing presence at the net, making her a strong addition for the Seminoles.

Congratulations to all of these athletes and their families. With the recruiting window just getting started, there are still plenty of commitments to come.
