Opposites Attract: Right Side Edition

<p>Right Side hitters need love too! Hitters that lead with a defensive mindset make for the most troubling opponents, and that's exactly what it takes to be a standout right side. The primary job is shutting down the strong side hitter and protecting their own defense. A tough job for only tough players, and these athletes have made it happen for their teams time and again, and are now on their way to the 2026 GJNC. She hustles to make defensive plays and does not stop until the whistle blows. At the net she puts up a big block that is difficult for outsides to hit around. This aggressive, defensive attitude keeps her team fueled and confident to finish the set. When it comes to offense, Mariah swings big and she swing hard. Whichever pin she finds herself swing from, the ball is going down. She is consistent in her approach and attacks every set with the intent to kill. This level of hard play sets her apart, and keeps her team on top. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Naomi Livings, Right side hitter for TAV 17 Black Jon, makes outsides think twice about swinging down the line. Her size, energy, and confidence on the floor shows how right she is for the job. On both sides of the net she is strong and efficient. Putting up an intimidating block and always swinging to kill. Naomi plays a controlled, high IQ game, placing the ball intently when she swings and reading the set and hitters for perfect timing on the block. This competitive level of play and high energy is no doubt a great aid to TAVs success this season. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kaelee Berkley Right side pin for Skyline 17 Royal brings a different kind of energy to the game. She stays ready for anything to happen, quickly reacting to the ball and the communication coming from her teammates. She is explosive at the net, setting an impressive block that her opponents are not ready for. Her energy and intense play blends well with her team, making plays, points and rhythm seamless on the court. Offensively, Kaelee does not hesitate to swing when the ball comes her way. She does well using her footwork and training to swing big and swing hard. The explosive play she exhibits is what sets her apart and secures her spot on the court.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">LS Right Sides</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Eva Simoncic, a dominant lefty right side for HJV 17 Elite, defines playing big. When she swings she means business, using her whole body to turn into her hit to put the ball down. There is no denying the strength behind her swing and the aggression behind her play. Eva brings a dominating presence to the game, allowing her team to play behind her with confidence. This aggressive and fearless play, is exactly the level of play it takes to win.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Aspen Brown lefty Right side hitter for Houston Skyline 17 Royal, brings the fire to the court. She is constantly moving and always ready to finish a play. Whether she's blocking or hitting she is going to do it to her fullest and will be the loudest on the court once the point has been one. Her ability to elevate above the block to swing big, and use that same vertical to put a wall in front of any opposing hitter, sets her apart on the court. Aspen's fire and energy encourages her team to play at a high tempo and keep their foot on the gas all game long. </p>
