Brown was with the Houston Skyline 17 Royal team that secured a third-place finish in the tournament with a campaign of six wins and two losses. The left-handed hitter had a prominent role in the team’s offense, showing excellent vision and tremendous accuracy in her swings to consistently find ways to hit around opposing blockers. Brown did well in sets off the net, too, keeping her errors low and forcing opponents into playing defense. The right side hitter also contributed on the back row, adding to the team’s passing efforts and playing solid defense.

Aspen has made a huge jump in the rankings and is now listed in the top 12. She is currently now listed as the 12th best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Shadow Creek High School and plays club for the famed Houston Skyline volleyball program. There are hitters who can attack with power and then there are those who sound like the ball is shot out of a cannon. That is exactly what happens when Miss Brown makes contact with the ball. If blockers are not in perfect position to make a play on her, she will make them pay and tool them out of bounds for a score. Blessed with natural athleticism and a very aggressive style, she is called on to score for her team and does so at a very high clip. I have watched her a few times in person this season and she looks like she can play for a college team right now. This was a no brainer to move her up in the list due to her amazing individual play. If you have not made your way to her court yet, I strongly encourage you to do so. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our State Rankings.

The right side hitter was very productive offensively, displaying interesting resources to put the ball down. A lefty, Brown managed to find nice angles to spike past Stratford’s blockers and to mix things up at the net, tooling the block and turning to tips to score points. The sophomore saw her level drop a bit in the last two sets, but continued to be a viable scoring option for Sharks, while also contributing with her blocking. She also helped in serve-receive on some rotations.

She was very aggressive with her blocking too, getting several touches and some stuffs on the right. Brown was a revelation for Shadow Creek last year and will be able to contribute even more in her sophomore year with the team. A very explosive lefty, she is an offensive force for the team, using her athleticism and quick arm to score with great efficiency from the right. Brown has the power to score in any situation, but uses her vision to scan the court across the net and pick the best option to put the ball down. Because of her length and excellent timing, the right side hitter also makes an impact with her blocking. She also has great ball control and often contributes when playing defense.
