Teams from around the country gathered in Kansas City this weekend to refine their game for the chance to be crowned national champions. The gyms were packed and full of competitive energy, as teams worked to get better one point at a time. Among many Midwest teams, Arkansas ranked among the best in terms of energy, effort, and overall skill. These are some of the few athletes that stood out among the rest in the pursuit of greatness. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to be stopped and balanced when the ball is contacted, allowing her to successfully defend quick attacks and unpredictable plays. What stood out most was her intensity from start to finish. As a six-rotation setter, Bertrand never seems to run out of energy. She can attack with a second-ball opportunity one moment and immediately transition into defensive pursuit on the next, bringing relentless effort and competitiveness to every rally.     White is the foundation of Arkansas Volleyball 17 National's defense. Her serve consistently picks apart opposing teams and forces them out of system, while her ability to handle out-of-system balls keeps her team in advantageous offensive situations. She never stops moving or communicating, bringing constant energy and leadership to every rally. Watching her work in the back row is like choreography because she follows a natural tempo and flow that consistently puts her in the best position to react to unpredictable plays. White leads with positivity and accountability, setting the standard for her teammates while providing stability on every touch.     Gonzales brings a calm, steady presence to the pin and serves as one of the most reliable offensive options on the court. Throughout multiple extended rallies, she consistently handled difficult transition situations, attacking hard sets while maintaining the same level of energy and execution. Gonzales combines a wickedly fast arm swing with impressive athleticism and a high vertical, allowing her to remain effective even as rallies become demanding. Her ability to perform under pressure never wavers, and it is clear that her teammates trust her in both offensive and defensive situations. That trust is a direct reflection of the consistency she brings to every phase of the game.     [player_tooltip player_id='835054' first='Londyn' last='Jackson'] is a dependable right-side attacker who plays a critical role in Ozark's defensive system. She establishes a strong block that allows her middles to close effectively and create opportunities for the defense behind her. Jackson jumps exceptionally well but pairs that athleticism with strong body control, preventing herself from drifting past hitters and maintaining disciplined blocking form. She consistently gets quality touches against opposing outsides, helping her team generate defensive opportunities against hard-driven attacks. Rather than relying on flashy plays, she excels at doing the details well like going low and over the net instead of swatting, chasing down balls pushed well outside the antenna, and still finding ways to finish plays effectively. Her calm demeanor should not be mistaken for complacency. Jackson works relentlessly for the players around her and leads through consistency, effort, and reliability.     Hope excels in serve receive and consistently does the little things that elevate her team's overall performance. She remains disciplined in her responsibilities, never rushing to release offensively before completing her first job as a passer. Her strong volleyball IQ allows her to read servers effectively and position herself in the best possible locations to handle serve receive. Hope transitions quickly into offense, using a big approach and athletic frame to create attacking opportunities. She swings with a fast, heavy arm and does an excellent job of reading the block before making offensive decisions. There is a quiet confidence in her game that allows her setter to trust her in key situations. Defensively, she reads opposing hitters well, tracking shoulders and offensive tendencies to establish effective blocking positions. She recognizes one-on-one opportunities and adjusts accordingly, consistently taking away valuable attacking space while covering the most net possible.
