Setters Who Ran the Show at Katy United Pre-Nationals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are only a few weeks left in the club volleyball season, which will come to an end at the start of July with the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship in Indianapolis.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Between now and then, teams continue to compete all over the country, and Texas is no different. Her hands were always very accurate, and allowed her to continue accurate even when she had to track passes well off the net. Equipped with long arms, Ellingson used her length to get to tight passes at the net and to contest 50-50 balls. Very technical and calm, she was very accurate with her locations, managing to get the ball to the pins from anywhere on the court. Lindgren also showed great chemistry with her hitters, moving them around and getting them to hit from different positions on many occasions. She ran a fast-paced offense with her team, using her excellent setting hands to get accurate quick sets to the pins and using her middles very often. Mihalakis also did a good job of setting against the flow and was very good with her movement on the court, easily tracking passes off the net. Her distribution was unpredictable, as she didn't always go with the obvious choice and wasn't afraid of setting against the flow and taking risks. A lefty, McCrary operated as a right side hitter when at the net and was very successful, showing good vision and remarkable precision with her shots.
