The USA Volleyball Junior National Club Championship brings together the best club programs in the country under one roof in Indianapolis, and Prep Dig will be on the floor to scout the field from the very start. As part of the pre-tournament showcase on June 24th at the Indiana Convention Center, several Prep Dig state-ranked prospects and those who are currently unranked but also very intriguing prospects to be from across the country will step onto the court before the main event begins. College coaches looking to get an early read on the next wave of talent would do well to circle the following names before the tournament tipping schedule fills their notebooks. Let's take a look at a few of the names who will be in attendance.

At 5'10" and already drawing a top-16 state ranking in the class of 2030, [player_tooltip player_id='920118' first='Emmalyne' last='Glasser'] is a right side prospect with the physical profile that programs covet at the opposite position. The frame is there and what evaluators will want to answer in Indianapolis is whether she attacks with range and efficiency from the right pin and how she engages at the net when the tempo of the game pushes her to close on a ball she did not expect. Right sides who can contribute in both the front and back row while staying disciplined in serve receive are the ones who separate themselves early and the showcase will reveal how much of that full-court profile she has already developed. I am super pumped to watch her in person and will have her matched up against some older competition to see how she handles it. Stay tuned to the fireworks that will ensue.

[player_tooltip player_id='937722' first='Ava' last='Castillo'] has already been in front of college coaching staffs at Florida, Yale, and UTEP, which tells you something about the level of interest her game has already generated. She competed in a national tournament environment with Tribe Volleyball and helped her team to a third-place finish at the Triple Crown NIT Open, meaning she knows what high-level play feels like before she has even reached her junior year of high school. At 5'7", her effectiveness will hinge on quickness, ball control in transition, and the read-and-react quality that separates setters who are system-dependent from those who are genuine playmakers. Watch how she manages tempo and distributes with intention when the players around her are unfamiliar. There is no doubt that we will have her on one of the top courts with some exceptional players to go up against in order to see if she is the real deal or not. We will be watching her very closely.

[player_tooltip player_id='935681' first='Olivia' last='Petersen'] is one to watch in the class of 2030 with a frame that still has meaningful physical development ahead and the current dimensions to compete against older athletes right now. As an outside hitter, the evaluation points are approach footwork, contact point consistency, and how well she passes in serve receive when the game speeds up. Players who earn top-20 state recognition in their freshman or pre-freshman years typically have at least one elite tool that stands out above the rest of their profile, and college coaches in Indianapolis should be looking for what that tool is in Petersen's game. She is a prospect to log early on your short list of players in her grad class. We know she has tons of growing to do in her position and think her ceiling is super high.
