Pin Attackers Making Noise at the Storm Showcase

The Storm Showcase featured talent from across the region, giving athletes a chance to compete in front of college coaches and showcase their abilities against high-level competition. Among the standouts were a group of pin attackers who consistently found ways to impact matches with their athleticism, versatility, and ability to score from all areas of the court.   From explosive outside hitters to dynamic right-side attackers, these athletes turned heads with their offensive production, competitive fire, and all-around skill sets. Here are some pin attackers who made plenty of noise at the Storm Showcase and should continue to be on recruiters' radars moving forward.    [player_tooltip player_id='784705' first='Nikolina' last='Djordjevich'] was one of the most exciting players to watch throughout the showcase. She possesses a complete offensive skill set, combining athleticism, versatility, and a high volleyball IQ to impact matches in multiple ways. Her range as an attacker was impressive, as she consistently found ways to score from different areas of the court. Whether she was attacking from her natural right-side position or taking swings from the outside, she looked confident, explosive, and difficult to contain.   What stood out most was her ability to transition quickly and stay available offensively. She moved efficiently, got into position fast, and was constantly creating opportunities for her setters. Her impressive vertical allows her to play above the net, while her arm swing and shot selection make her a threat against any defense. At the net, she showcased strong blocking instincts and excellent penetration, taking away angles and creating problems for opposing hitters.   Simply put, Nikolina is a playmaker. She has the ability to change the momentum of a match with a big swing, a key block, or a timely play when her team needs it most. With her athletic tools, versatility, and competitive mindset, the future is incredibly bright. We have no doubt she made a lasting impression on the college coaches in attendance and will continue to be a player to watch as her volleyball journey progresses.     We've enjoyed watching [player_tooltip player_id='888758' first='Kate' last='Hayes'] develop throughout the season, particularly her growth in the back row, but it was her front-row play that first caught our attention during the high school season. It was exciting to see her showcase that side of her game once again, delivering powerful, impactful swings and reminding everyone why she's such a dangerous attacker.   Kate is quick, dynamic, and incredibly consistent—qualities every coach looks for in an outside hitter. She has a natural ability to find ways to score, whether through power, placement, or simply making smart decisions in key moments. What was especially impressive at the showcase was how much her all-around game has evolved. Her focus on developing as a back-row player during club season was evident throughout the event. She provided a steady presence in serve receive, handled pressure well, and played outstanding defense, showing the ability to impact the match even when she wasn't taking swings.   Kate continues to prove she can contribute in every phase of the game, and her combination of athleticism, consistency, and versatility makes her a player worth watching. We can't wait to see where her continued development takes her and look forward to following her success moving forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='886814' first='Saydie' last='Vega'] possesses one of the most powerful arms you'll find on any court, regardless of the competition standing across the net. What makes her so dangerous isn't just her physical ability—it's the fearless mentality she brings to every attack. She plays with a confidence and aggression that can't be taught. It's the kind of competitive edge that separates great players from good ones.   Offensively, Saydie is a nightmare for opposing defenses. She has the power to challenge even well-formed blocks, but she's far more than just a hard hitter. She sees the court exceptionally well, makes intelligent decisions with the ball, and has the versatility to score in a variety of ways. Whether she's terminating through a block, finding an open seam, or placing a shot with precision, she consistently finds ways to put points on the board.   What impressed us just as much as her talent was the energy and leadership she brought throughout the showcase. Saydie was fully invested in every rally, constantly encouraging teammates and bringing intensity to the court from start to finish. Her passion for the game is contagious, and she has a natural ability to elevate those around her. She competes hard, supports her teammates, and leads by example—everything you want to see from a player and a leader. She's the kind of athlete younger players should watch closely and the type of teammate every program would love to have in the gym.     Makenzie McDaniel stood out with her ability to seamlessly impact the match from both pin positions. Her versatility is one of her greatest strengths, as she looked comfortable attacking from either side while maintaining the same level of effectiveness and confidence. She plays with a combination of quickness, intelligence, and aggression that makes her a difficult player to defend and an asset in any lineup.   One aspect of her game that particularly stood out was her connection with her setters. Makenzie communicates well, understands how to make adjustments based on the set and situation, and consistently works to create the best possible attacking opportunity. Those subtle details often separate good players from great ones, and they were on full display throughout the showcase.   It was a treat to have Makenzie competing in an Arizona gym. With her versatility, volleyball IQ, physical presence, and competitive mindset, she has all the tools to continue making an impact at a high level. We have no doubt there is a bright future ahead for this talented athlete.     [player_tooltip player_id='912816' first='Rainey' last='Saffer'] put together an impressive performance at the showcase and once again demonstrated why she's regarded as one of the top pin attackers in her class. Her left-handed arm swing is a major weapon, allowing her to create difficult angles and score from both sides of the court. Whether attacking in rhythm or out of system, Rainey consistently found ways to put pressure on opposing defenses and terminate points.   At the net, Rainey continues to impress with her physicality and instincts. She puts up a disciplined, intentional block that takes away attacking options and forces opponents to make adjustments. She's also aggressive in tight-net situations, showing the confidence and awareness to capitalize on overpasses and contested plays. Those extra points can be the difference in close matches, and Rainey consistently looks ready to take advantage of them.   With her unique lefty attack, strong net play, competitive fire, and ability to positively impact team culture, Rainey remains one of the most exciting players to watch in her class. We can't wait to continue following her journey and watching her game reach even greater heights.     Shamone Wadsworth continues to prove every time she steps on the court why she's considered one of the premier players in her talented class. She turned plenty of heads at the showcase with her elite athleticism, explosive vertical, and ability to impact the match from virtually every area of the court. Few players possess her combination of physical tools and all-around versatility, making her a constant challenge for opposing teams.   What makes Shamone so dangerous is that she's a true six-rotation threat. Her back-row attacks are every bit as effective as her front-row swings, allowing her to put pressure on defenses no matter where she is on the court. She attacks with confidence, elevates well above the net, and has the ability to score in a variety of ways. Whether she's terminating with power or finding open space with a smart shot, she consistently keeps opponents guessing.   Simply put, Shamone impacts winning in multiple ways. Her athleticism, volleyball IQ, and ability to contribute in every phase of the game make her one of the most exciting players to watch in Arizona. We have no doubt she'll continue making a major impact throughout Nationals and carry that momentum into an outstanding high school season this fall.     One of the youngest players in the gym also happened to possess one of the heaviest arm swings in attendance. [player_tooltip player_id='920118' first='Emmalyne' last='Glasser'] was a joy to watch throughout the showcase, not only because of her obvious talent, but because of the way she approached the learning experience. While many athletes focus solely on competing, Emmalyne was clearly invested in soaking up knowledge from the college coaches around her and embracing every opportunity to grow. That willingness to be a student of the game is a trait that will serve her incredibly well as she continues to develop.   On the court, her physical tools are impossible to ignore. She attacks with a powerful arm swing, generates impressive pace on the ball, and has the ability to score against even well-formed defenses. Her approach is efficient and explosive, allowing her to create separation and attack at a high point. At the net, she also showed the ability to be a disruptive blocker, using her size and timing to make life difficult for opposing hitters.   The combination of natural talent, work ethic, coachability, and competitive drive gives her an incredibly high ceiling. As an incoming freshman, she already possesses qualities that stand out against older, more experienced competition. Xavier is getting a special player, and we have no doubt she'll make an immediate impact while continuing to develop into one of the premier athletes in her class.     It's hard to believe [player_tooltip player_id='939878' first='Avery' last='Moody'] is only an incoming eighth grader because she competes with a maturity well beyond her years. From the moment she stepped on the court, her confidence, composure, and presence stood out. If you didn't know her age, you would never guess she was one of the youngest athletes in the gym. She carries herself with a level of poise and court awareness that many older players are still developing.   What makes Avery especially fun to watch is the passion she brings to the game. She celebrates big plays, competes with tremendous energy, and has the kind of fire that coaches love to see. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she consistently finds ways to lift up the players around her. Just as importantly, she handles adversity well, quickly shaking off mistakes and moving on to the next play with confidence and positivity.   From a volleyball standpoint, Avery already possesses strong fundamentals on both sides of the ball. Her mechanics are polished in the front row and back row, allowing her to contribute in multiple phases of the game. She plays with purpose, understands the flow of the game, and consistently makes smart decisions. Combined with her upbeat personality and team-first mindset, she's the type of athlete every coach wants in the gym.   The future is incredibly bright for Avery. With her skill set, competitive spirit, and love for the game, she has all the tools to continue developing into a special player. She's already making an impact against older competition, and we're excited to watch her growth over the coming years.     Harlow Duzurick continues to show that she can make an impact from anywhere along the front row. Her versatility was on full display throughout the showcase, as she looked comfortable and effective regardless of the position she was playing. Whether attacking from the outside, operating on the right side, or contributing at the net defensively, Harlow consistently found ways to influence the match.   She was one of the more enjoyable players to watch because of her ability to make plays in a variety of situations. Harlow has a strong feel for the game and does an excellent job adapting to different setters, tempos, and match situations. Those quick adjustments allow her to stay involved offensively and make the most of every opportunity she gets. She remains available in transition, works hard to create attacking options, and understands how to put herself in position to help her team succeed.   At the net, Harlow also made her presence felt with disciplined blocking and strong positioning. She reads the game well, closes space effectively, and competes hard on every rally. Combined with her versatility, athleticism, and willingness to do whatever her team needs, she brings tremendous value to the court.   As she continues to develop and gain experience, Harlow's all-around skill set and playmaking ability give her a very bright future. We're excited to continue following her journey and watching her grow into an even more complete player.     Despite being one of the youngest players in the gym, [player_tooltip player_id='941116' first='Gianna' last='Galli'] delivered one of the most impressive offensive performances of the showcase. From the moment she stepped on the court, she played with a confidence and maturity that far exceeded her age. She never looked overwhelmed by the competition and consistently found ways to make an impact against older, experienced athletes.   What immediately stood out was her attacking ability. Mechanically, Gianna showcased some of the cleanest and most polished hitting technique on her court. Her approach was explosive and efficient, allowing her to generate impressive power while maintaining control and consistency. Every swing appeared intentional, whether she was attacking aggressively, working around a block, or placing the ball into open space. She demonstrated the ability to score from multiple angles, confidently attacking both line and cross-court while displaying a well-rounded offensive arsenal.   Beyond the physical tools, Gianna showed a strong understanding of the game. She didn't simply rely on power; she made smart decisions, adjusted to the defense in front of her, and played with a level of poise that is uncommon for an athlete her age. Her ability to combine athleticism, technique, and volleyball IQ made her one of the more intriguing prospects we watched throughout the event.   The future is incredibly bright for Gianna. With her advanced skill set, competitive mindset, and room for continued growth, she is undoubtedly a player who should remain on everyone's radar. We have a feeling this is only the beginning, and she's a name volleyball fans will be hearing for years to come.     Sloan Krible is the type of player every coach and teammate wants on their side of the net. There is a sense of trust, confidence, and stability that she brings to the court, and it's immediately noticeable when she is competing. She's the kind of athlete who makes those around her better simply through her consistency, composure, and ability to impact the game in so many ways.   Throughout the showcase, Sloan proved to be a steady force from start to finish. Offensively, she attacked with confidence and explosiveness, consistently finding ways to put pressure on opposing defenses. Her athleticism allows her to play above the net, while her ability to make smart decisions with the ball makes her difficult to defend. She brings a balanced attack that combines power, control, and a strong understanding of the game.   However, the most impressive is the confidence she inspires in those around her. Teammates trust her, coaches rely on her, and opponents are forced to account for her. That combination of talent, leadership, and dependability is difficult to find and is a major reason she continues to stand out. Sloan has all the tools to achieve great things at the next level, and we have no doubt she left a lasting impression on the college coaches in attendance. Her future in the sport is incredibly bright.     [player_tooltip player_id='996896' first='Ella' last='Gregg'] put together an impressive performance at the showcase and showcased why she is such a valuable all-around player. Her versatility was on full display as she attacked effectively from both pin positions, proving she can impact the match regardless of where she's lined up. Whether she was terminating in system or finding ways to score in more challenging situations, Ella consistently put pressure on opposing defenses and found ways to contribute offensively.   What stood out even more, however, was her presence at the net. Ella is the type of blocker who changes the way opposing hitters approach the game. She does an excellent job reading attackers, taking away their preferred angles, and using an intentional, disciplined press to make scoring difficult. Her timing is disruptive, her positioning is strong, and she consistently forces opponents into uncomfortable decisions. Even when she isn't recording a block, her presence is felt throughout the match.   Ella is the kind of player who affects the game in multiple ways and makes those around her better. With her versatility, net presence, volleyball IQ, and competitive mindset, she continues to trend in the right direction.
