These five classes of 2030 setters will be looking to make their mark as they head into their freshman season of high school volleyball. The setter position is demanding, and not many freshmen take the reins of an offense in their initial season in high school. It's a terrific opportunity for these five to learn and train for a full season, and while some may have to wait their turns, others will see the court in a hurry.

Meyer had some of the best hands of the setters at the Showcase, easily delivering the ball pin to pin and finding her middles in transition for excellent scoring opportunities. The 2030 prospect had the size and body control to deal with passes tight to the net and still put up a hittable set to her attackers. Meyer captured a Top Performer award for her work at the setter position.

The 2030 setter headed to Everett High School has a sweet touch on her sets and is already demonstrating a solid understanding of commanding the offense. Urbanozo is excellent defensively, with a great sense of balance and quick reactions to play in tips and off-speed or get to a hard-driven ball out of her area. She will be a player who can contribute as a DS/L and a setter moving forward.

Court coaches mentioned that Camba played with confidence and style, but, more importantly, won drills and pushed her team to victories in the 6-on-6 portion of the Showcase. She was named a Top Performer for her efforts, and the Kennedy Catholic setter is a player to watch in the 2030 class. Camba is quick, plays defense first, and makes great choices setting the ball.

McCall is a smart player who asks all the right questions and has a terrific work ethic. The West Seattle 2030 has a solid set of all-around skills, setting with good technique, playing right back defense in position and with focus, and she was accurate with her serve. McCall is working hard and maximizing every training and clinic she can find during the summer, and it showed with her strong play at the Showcase.

Hoglund moved with a smooth glide when she had to chase down the second ball at the Showcase; her court coaches liked her ability to get her feet to the ball. The Darrington prospect has the athletic chops to swing from the pins, and she was a threat for WVBA during the club season as a setter and right side. Hoglund sets an accurate high ball to the outside and stays accurate when she is on the run and has to use her platform.
