Large School Preview: Players To Watch, Part 3

On the attack, her quick arm swing and even quicker footwork gets her to where the ball is and terminates at will abusing blocks and defenders with pace and purpose. When passing in serve receive and defense, her platform is calm while her feet do the heavy lifting, allowing her to have a pass-to-attack that's one of the better ones among outsides in this class. Although some might find her undersized for this position, Ali's ability to go get tight passes and off-the-net out-of-system passes equally will be the thing that recruiters see the most from her volleyball IQ. I've personally watched this kid for some time now, and Greensburg's success will rest solely on Ali's shoulders this fall. The Ball State commit hits a heavy ball with pace and purpose, and can cause problems for opposing defenses not accustomed to her strength. The Valparaiso commit has explosiveness for days, can terminate zero-tempo balls before the block even appears and can use her length and jumping ability to defend better than most middles much bigger than she. With length for days and an innate ability to frustrate opponents on both offense and defense, Miss Stone is a solid M2 recruit and a DEFINITE steal for Northern Michigan, as I had her tabbed as a low to midmajor D1 recruit for years. Insert Emilie, who is a plug-and-play setter that can run the show with a faster-than-average offensive mindset. The Center Grove transfer should solidify the offense after graduating a ton of swings, and to compete in 4A for her final two years, Miss Zapp is going to have to shoulder the load (and high expectations) that Roncalli carries on a day-in day-out basis.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
