Players to Watch at Prep Dig Dallas Freshman Showcase

The middle has a high volleyball IQ and a great understanding of the game. That shows in different ways in her game, but more often in her offensive approach, as she adjusts her movement according to the pass and is never early or late, getting off the floor at the right time and being able to unleash all her power into swings. She's very accurate with her locations and does a great job of using her entire body to push the ball to the pins in out-of-system plays. Segura also moves very quickly to the ball, which gets her in the best possible spot to make contact with it and widens her distribution options. She keeps the same body shape when setting to all three positions and makes it hard for opponents to read her and anticipate her moves. The outside hitter was one of the standouts in our Up Next showcase last summer and will be back to show how much progress she's made in the past 12 months. A long and explosive outside hitter, Sokoloski has some serious scoring power. She gets off the floor very well and is excellent at finding ways around opposing blockers, scoring at a good clip also when set in the middle back position.
