I was looking to see who had the ball when it was passed to them poorly. I was looking to see who made good decisions with the ball. I was looking to see who made the game easier on the hitters. This is exactly what the setters on this list did. They kept the offense going. She did a great job getting on target, setting from a number of spots on the floor, and putting up balls that allowed her hitters to stay aggressive. She always put hitters in good one-on-one situations, made life difficult for opposing blockers by spreading the offense, and mixed tempos well. Her willingness to attack on second contact kept the defenses honest, giving her more options during the rally. Even with the pass pulling her out of the net, she kept her composure, knew her hitters, and rarely let the offense get out of its rhythm. She maintained a location and tempo that hitters could work with, but she showed exceptional touch on out-of-system balls. Beckler's leadership was evident throughout the showcase as she was consistently talking, managing the floor and keeping her teammates calm during long rallies.
