Sports Performance Standards: 17 Red Wraps Up Nationals

Their flow on court shows how much they trust one another. They also had both of their outsides playing all the way around, which was worth highlighting as the entire team is a great passing team. Her mean float serves truly flew, then suddenly stopped in the air, resulting in an ace serve. As for her hustle middle back, it is crazy good!! She was able to dig down the line, roll out, and quickly run to the other side to cover. Her ability to handle midline serves stood out the most. She always kept her platform strong and chin down when contacting the ball. What stood out to me the most was her ability to perfectly pass a serve that was floating into her midline. She read the ball perfectly, got her hips behind the ball, and then gracefully created space by opening her hips and creating a strong platform. She kept the tempo fast and appropriate for each scenario. I really enjoyed guessing where she would set the ball next because her contact always looks the same. She built up her power by using a 4-step approach, really using her arms to drive her up into the air. When contacting the ball high, she generated impressive torque, putting it down with great power. Her approach is not telegraphed, which allows her to quickly draw the block left and then explode into a dominating attack.
