The Road to the Section Title Starts Here: 6AA Players to Watch

Year after year, schools like Albany, Foley, Sauk Centre, and Minnewaska set the standard, consistently competing for conference and section titles while producing some of the state's top players. With so many quality teams in one section, every match is a battle and every postseason run has to be earned. From experienced veterans to rising underclassmen, the talent is outstanding. The lefty is athletic, explosive, and brings a ton of energy every time she steps on the court. She's simply fun to watch. As she makes the move to the varsity level at Albany, she'll have every opportunity to make an impact right away. She finished near the top of the regular season assist leaderboard and earned Granite Ridge Conference Co-Setter of the Year honors after totaling 735 assists, 229 digs, and 36 aces. Whether she's swinging from the left, right, or out of the middle, she usually finds a way to put the ball away. She gets on top of the ball very well, giving her a heavy, quick swing. Combine that with her athleticism and versatility, and she's a tough matchup for any defense. As a freshman, she stuffed the stat sheet with 300 kills, 340 assists, and 184 digs, showing just how versatile her game is. I have watched her compete on the club circuit several times, and she continues to impress with her athleticism, court awareness, and ability to impact every phase of the game. Her versatility gives Minnewaska plenty of offensive options, and she has the athleticism to make an impact in every rotation. After coming up just short in a heartbreaking section championship match last season, the Lakers will be hungry for another opportunity to make their first trip to the state tournament. Last year, she totaled 443 assists, 183 digs, and 41 aces while earning Granite Ridge Conference Honorable Mention honors. She did an outstanding job running the offense as a freshman and only figures to get better with another year of experience.
