USAV GJNC Showcase: Prospects from Session 2

Join PrepDig with 30% off using code: Coachable247</a>   The USAV GJNC Showcase provided college coaches with an opportunity to evaluate athletes from across the country in a competitive environment. While statistics and measurable tools are important, showcases also reveal the details that often separate athletes during the recruiting process, communication, movement between contacts, decision-making, effort, and the ability to positively impact every rally.   The athletes featured below earned recognition based on what stood out during Session 2. Some impressed with their technical execution, others with their competitiveness, and court awareness. These observations reflect what caught my attention while evaluating this group.   As always, recruiting is about projecting future potential as much as current performance. These athletes demonstrated qualities that college coaches value, making them players worth following as they continue their development.    Jadyn's activity level stood out throughout the showcase. She consistently tracked the ball, stayed available offensively, and repeatedly called for the set, demonstrating a desire to be involved in every rally. I also noticed improvement in her transition speed, allowing her to become available more quickly as an attacking option. Her constant movement and communication make her an athlete who works to create opportunities rather than waiting for them to develop.   ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Kaia's defensive mindset stood out throughout the showcase. She worked relentlessly to keep balls alive while doing an outstanding job covering her hitters after attacks, creating valuable second-chance opportunities for her team. Extra-effort plays don't always appear on the stat sheet, but they often make a significant difference over the course of a rally.   ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Taimalie stayed active throughout the showcase and consistently brought energy to the court. I liked her blocking fundamentals, especially the way she pressed over the net and generated a nice offensive snap through contact. Her long approach created good momentum, and she communicated well with her teammates. Offensively, she did a nice job attacking high off the hands of opposing blockers to create scoring opportunities.   ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Ella consistently made smart decisions throughout the showcase and showed a good understanding of when to attack and when to make the right volleyball play. She effectively used her arms to generate momentum on her approach, helping create an efficient swing, and maintained solid communication with her teammates from start to finish.   ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Camille's presence at the net stood out during the showcase. She read opposing hitters well and consistently pressed over the net, allowing her to take away attacking angles and apply pressure as a blocker.
