Avoli Committed Athlete: Sophomore ID Camp

Learn more about Avoli and its performance-driven footwear at <strong>avoli.com</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At the <strong>Prep Dig Sophomore ID Camp</strong>, the <strong>Avoli Committed Athlete Award</strong> was presented to <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='891296' first='Olivia' last='Shwer']</strong>, an athlete who truly embodies what this recognition is all about.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I think the biggest compliment any coach/scout can give a kid is how well they do the little things and great of a kid they are and with Olivia you get all of that and then some. From the moment she stepped onto the floor, whether we were in drills, game play, or moving station to station, Olivia was talking and hustling and going well and above the other athletes around her with her energy, talking, and hustle. You could tell that she was loving playing with all these high level players and enjoyed being someone everyone was looking toward throughout the showcase. She had all good vibes around her and encouraged her teammates throughout the showcase and was always willing to compliment her peers when she saw something good. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now, she has a lot more to her game over her energy, communication, and what not. She is an amazing volleyball player as well, and showed that all club season and especially at the showcase. She is a very athletic setter and is able to get quality sets on balls that a lot of setters can't get at the net and was always being aggressive at the net with her set touches. She really gets up on the net and can deliver high quality balls even when her body isn't in the best position which just demonstrates her athletic ability to a T. She also has a great arm swing, and is able to rip balls from the right side as a lefty. She doesn't shy away from that offensive game as a setter either and uses her ability as a lefty to generate some offense as well. Olivia has that complete package when it comes to being a setter and demonstrated that during the showcase, she is a top level player and Saturday showed that to the rest of the scouts and other players. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:gallery {"linkTo":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped"><!-- wp:image {"id":1015859,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/08/IMG_3245-rotated.jpeg?w=768" alt="" class="wp-image-1015859" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --></figure> <!-- /wp:gallery --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Most importantly Olivia was open to coaching during the showcase, and soaked up any and all feedback she got some other staff on site. It was great to watch a high level player like Olivia taking feedback, and being able to apply any feedback to her game. Olivia has all the intangibles that coaches look for in a player with her energy, effort, coachability, and high level game play. She is someone who is going to turn a lot of heads in the years to come.
