Floor Generals Commanding the Court During Dallas Soph ID V1

Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back! We had some big events that were held at the Courtside Sports Center on July 19th. The Sophomore showcase for the 2029 grad class was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three setters who earned Top Performer honors at the Dallas Sophomore showcase.    Harper ran the offense at the Dallas Sophomore ID Camp with a tempo awareness that stood out among the setter group. She went quick when the block was slow to rotate and pushed the ball to the pins when she needed to pull the defense out of position, which is a reading skill that most setters take years to develop and she is already using it intentionally. Her footwork was efficient and she got to off-target passes without the panic that shows up in younger setters when the first contact is bad. She communicated constantly with hitters she was meeting for the first time and built trust within the system quickly. The composure she carried throughout the full day of competition is the thread that connected everything she did well. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.     Miss Sanders has shown up on the Prep Dig Texas watch list and the Dallas Sophomore ID Camp gave her a platform to back that recognition up in person. She absolutely did. The way she managed the offense throughout the day reflected a setter whose feel for the game is developing ahead of schedule. Her sets had consistent shape and location and she delivered them from a release point that gave her hitters clean looks rather than balls they had to work around. The decision-making she showed in the scrimmage segments was the quality court coaches came back to most often pointing to how rarely she defaulted to predictable patterns when the pass was clean. She is a player whose game is worth watching closely as the 2029 class continues to develop. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase. She is 5'3" and she ran an offense at the Dallas Sophomore ID Camp with a confidence and precision that made the physical conversation irrelevant before the first set of the scrimmage was over. Her footwork kept her ahead of the play consistently and she squared her hips before release with a repeatability that told evaluators the mechanics have been built correctly and built deliberately. She read the block, adjusted her calls, and kept her hitters in rhythm even when the pass made her job harder than it should have been. Court coaches watching the setter group throughout the day left with her name written down. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
