S.A Up Next Pin Hitters

<p>The San Antonio Up Next Showcase brought in some power house pin hitters from the area, who are ready to take on the battle at the net. Everyone loves a big kill play, it's the most popular part of the game to any onlooker. But the work that goes into perfecting an approach, timing, swing, placement, is a science some do not always put together. She does a great job getting her feet to the ball and swinging with intent. When she attacks the ball her only focus is putting the ball down. Showing off her training, Emily takes the extra second to get around the ball and place it wherever she sees a hole. The ability to stay strong, consistent, and detailed in hitting, is tough and she has taken on the work to be just that when she is at the net.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lena Bartell, a 5'8 2031, quick and springy outside hitter showed off her athleticism and IQ at Up Next San Antonio. Attacking every ball with a strong and quick approach immediately turned heads. With great footwork and an explosive approach, Lena creates a good foundation for being a strong pin hitter. She has developed a consistent attack, which is easy for setters to connect with and something teammates can rely on in the tough games. With her consistency, athleticism, and knowledge of the game, Lena is preparing for the next level at great pace.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Sarah Foster, a 2031 Right side pin hitter from Boerne, capitalized on her ability to play anywhere on the court. Showing that her defense backs up her big swing at the net. Not afraid of making a solid pass before transitioning into her hitter footwork, Sarah expressed her passion for making plays. With less sets to opposite pin, she knows what it means to make every hit count. Approaching big and quick to every ball and making sure she is heard, sets her game apart. A continued emphasis on her effort, energy, and controlled swing will be what prepares her for the coming season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lelia Bennett, outside hitter for Alamo Volleyball that has out her defensive and offensive efforts together to fuel her game. All over the court, she has taken on the mentality of being an option for her team no matter her position. She has focused on footwork and transition time to be efficient, and has developed a strong swing at the net. As she continues getting in the reps, she has the potential to be a well rounded </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Chloe Carlton, a powerful pin hitter for San Antonio Juniors, brings a strong and controlled swing to the court. Her ability to use her body to get around the ball and turn to hit deep corner and line shots with equal power is impressive. Showing coaches that she has learned to draw power from more than just a good swing. As she continues to grow and develop in this game, her key will be to maintain her consistency as a complete and controlled hitter. </p>
