Emily Wilson, a 6 rotation outside hitter for Alamo that brought the power and precision to the court at Up Next San Antonio. She does a great job getting her feet to the ball and swinging with intent. When she attacks the ball her only focus is putting the ball down. Showing off her training, Emily takes the extra second to get around the ball and place it wherever she sees a hole. The ability to stay strong, consistent, and detailed in hitting, is tough and she has taken on the work to be just that when she is at the net.

There was never a moment in the Up Next San Antonio Showcase where Emily Wilson Emily Wilson 5'6" | OH/DS/L Steele | 2031 TX looked like she was taking a play off. That kind of competitive consistency is the hardest thing to sustain across a full day of competition at any age and she did it without being prompted. Her serve receive was technically sound and she tracked the ball to her platform with fantastic vision rather than reaching for it at the last moment. On attack she generated angles with her timing rather than her size and found solutions when the set was not exactly where she wanted it. Court coaches watching the outside hitter group throughout the day kept coming back to the totality of what she brought to the floor rather than any single standout moment.
