<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2026 high school volleyball season has kicked off in a great way and Prep Dig Nevada was in the house as the Longhorns of Legacy High School hosted the Wolves of Basic High School. The Longhorns hold as a very prominent program that flexes multiple state championship appearances, multiple highly acclaimed award recipients, and it should be expected for them to compete very well, deep into this season. The Basic Wolves compete with a healthy desire for growth and togetherness that keeps them working hard for great outcomes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As I attended this match, this was not about who dominated who, what the overall score what, but rather to provide exposure; to see what new athletes are out there that the Vegas Valley doesn't know about. Aubrey simply commands attention as a phenomenal standout prospect well worthy of recognition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During this match, this Sophomore showcased phenomenal six-rotation passing skills with a very solid &amp; quiet platform resulting in consistent pin-point dimes that gave her setter the ability to push the ball anywhere with ease. While positioned for pin hitting attacks, her approaches are relentless, poised, timely and she finishes with very aggressive &amp; strong contact no matter where she is. Aubrey is very vocal on the court, leads very effectively as an extension of the coach, and she will not be intimidated in the very least. She's an extremely important piece of this Longhorn offense and she impacts the quality of play in an extremely efficient way. Watching her connect with all hitters was easy for evaluation purposes and refreshing for what the Longhorns will bring through this season. Savanna impressed with very solid in-system setting that placed her attackers in phenomenal positions to close their attacks, resulting in a highly efficient offense. Her transitional footwork around the court was very seamless and she reads the defense with the mindset to move the ball away from the block but also moves with purpose for block or deflection coverage.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Showing tremendous positivity and purposeful passes, her connections with her middle hitters and pin attackers is something to see and we're excited to watch Tano lead this offense through the high school season. Soaring well above the net, Yarber's contact is elevated, strong, intentional, and just about every hit went straight down to the floor, leaving the defense with unretrievable opportunities. Khaliyah reads the defensive shifts very well, focuses where the open floor exists, and exploits the benefit of seeing over the block. Daylynn showcased strong offensive approaches, explosive jumps, and the ability to find open floor space resulting in several points, and this was just the first match of the season.
