This Truett McConnell commit is flowing through this season in an outstanding way. Bringing consistent power and flexing free will to place the ball where she wants, when she wants, Arial is working seamlessly with 84 kills, 94 service receptions and 78 digs. Suring up her passing ability has led to her setter having great success on the offensive end, and taking command on receptions gives confidence to her team in their pursuit back to state title contentions.

For Arial, Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom while honoring the strength and resilience of African Americans throughout history.

She also sees the holiday as a reminder to appreciate equality and treat others with kindness and respect. Arial draws inspiration from Jordan Thompson, admiring her hard work, confidence, and success at the highest levels of the sport.

Following that example, Arial’s goal is to earn the opportunity to play volleyball in college while continuing her academic journey and pursuing success both on and off the court.

This club season, Arial is stepping into the middle blocker role instead of her usual outside/DS position. It’s a great opportunity for her to showcase her versatility attacking and blocking, while sharpening her eye-sequencing skills. Though she’s already a standout as a DS and pin hitter, her incredible vertical allows her to adapt seamlessly to any front-row position. She’s definitely one to watch this club season and should have a standout junior season in the Fall. — Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv
