<p>The Dallas Up Next Showcase presented an impressive group of athletes ready to make their volleyball statements. Two hours of good play, high energy, and great potential for the classes of 2031-33. They say everything is bigger in Texas and when it comes to volleyball middles, they are no exception to that statement. Taking information in quickly and applying it the very next play speaks volumes about her coachability. At the net she is strong and quick to swing without hesitation. Her effort matched with her power, is looking like a great combination to lead the from the net.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Taylor Brown, middle blocker for 1United, that is not new to the Prep Dig radar. Showing up and showing off her quickness and athleticism at the net. Able to read and react to the play with efficiency and deliver a strong, solid swing throughout play. Also displaying disciplined training through her footwork and transition time on the court, moving seamlessly during rallies, matching the pace of setters and defenders on the court. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Layla McKenzie, a 2032 middle blocker for Skyline Juniors, showed much potential at the Up Next Showcase. As a middle she is able to move along the net and cover ground to close blocks and be apart of plays effectively. Her speed is being used as an asset to adapt to a new and faster pace of the game. As her IQ and connection continue to develop, Layla will no doubt be a big threat at the net.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lauren McKinney, another 2032 middle blocker from Skyline, came in ready to work on Saturday. Bringing an aggressive attack on the game early in the event, Lauren's fearlessness and confidence stood out. On the court, she has the speed, footwork, and strength to be a real threat on both sides of the ball. Her natural athleticism and well trained transition footwork are true keys to her game. As she continues to grow and develops her shot selection at the net, there will be fews of stopping her ability to score.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Aliya Betz, a 2032 middle blocker, bringing size to Madfrog this club season. Standing at 5'11, she draws attention early and keeps eyes on her with efficient footwork and a strong swing. Controlling her tempo with decisive transitions and communication, she connects well with her setters and competes as the threat of a true middle. The strength behind her swing will be a great force as she develops the ability to place the ball with intent.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Leaia Sheck, a 2033 middle blocker from Copperas Cove, came in with raw talent for the game. At her young age, she has the athleticism and a promising swing as a hitter in the middle. Being able to move well for her size, standing at 5'11, she is showing great potential to deliver in her position. Her swing, her size, and natural athleticism will put her at the forefront of her class as she continues to mold her talent.</p>
