Malia Manor earned Top Performer at the Nevada Freshman Showcase, August 8, 2026.   Malia checks the boxes coaches look for early in an evaluation. She can pass the ball and transition smoothly into her attack, and her length shows up in the power she generates behind the ball. She has excellent snap on her shots, and her placement is a step ahead of most freshmen in this gym. On top of her offensive tools, she brings great hustle on defense and never takes a play off. She is the kind of outside who gives a coach confidence on both sides of the ball.   ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Efuru Nwapa earned Top Performer at the Nevada Freshman Showcase, August 8, 2026.   Efuru block transition footwork lets her get to both pins quickly shutting down hitting lines for her opponents. On offense, she shows a strong wrist snap to both corners, with a fast arm swing that lets her put teams away in a hurry. She is coachable, calls her own ball, and competes on every point without giving one up. Tea plays with the kind of consistency coaches want to see from an outside hitter. She understands when to swing away and when to take a shot, which shows real offensive IQ. She adjusts well to any set she is given, staying under control even when the pass is off. That adaptability makes her a weapon from anywhere on the court, not just when the offense is running clean. Ava brings a strong arm swing that stands out right away. She works to get her feet in position early, which allows her to take a variety of shots rather than relying on one look. That footwork gives her more offense than most outsides her age, since she can adjust her shot based on the block in front of her. She plays with intent, and her game reads like one that will only grow more versatile as she develops. Quinn plays above the net for a freshman middle, and her hops were hard to miss throughout the day. She has a good eye for finding the open court on her swings, which shows more awareness than a lot of middles bring at this stage. She made real adjustments on her middle swings as the showcase went on, a sign of her ability to make in-game corrections. At the net, she picked up a number of blocks working one-on-one, holding her own. Stella is a strong attacker who gets up on her swings and snaps on top of the ball with good timing. Her footwork stood out as one of the more polished parts of her game, giving her a clean, repeatable approach. That combination of lift and snap lets her hit with pace even when the set is not perfect. She plays with confidence at the net and looks comfortable taking on bigger blocks. Harper has a fast arm swing that she generates with her full body, not just her arm. She hits behind the ball and gets on top of it, which lets her drive her shots with real pace. That full body swing shows an understanding of power generation that is more advanced than most freshmen outsides. She plays with an aggressive mindset at the net, looking to attack rather than tip. Kokoro brings a demeanor and attitude that make her easy to coach. She competes with hustle on every play, showing an energy level that stands out even in a gym full of talented freshmen. Coaches notice players who bring effort regardless of the score or situation, and that is exactly what she showed throughout the showcase. She is coachable in the truest sense, taking instruction and applying it right away.
