Harper Hobbs earned Top Performer at the Nevada Freshman Showcase, August 8, 2026.

Harper has a fast arm swing that she generates with her full body, not just her arm. She hits behind the ball and gets on top of it, which lets her drive her shots with real pace. That full body swing shows an understanding of power generation that is more advanced than most freshmen outsides. She plays with an aggressive mindset at the net, looking to attack rather than tip. Her swing mechanics give her a strong foundation to build from as her game continues to develop.

Harper Hobbs Harper Hobbs 5'8" | OH/RS Bishop Manogue | 2030 NV is quickly becoming a name to know in Nevada volleyball. The Tstreet Sierra Nevada 15-Jackson outside hitter is a force on the court with a bright future ahead. Hobbs brings strong energy, polished mechanics, and the ability to consistently swing hard and score points for her team. Her approach is smooth and explosive, allowing her to generate power while staying balanced through contact. She also shows impressive arm swing mechanics, creating a fast whip through the ball that helps her attack with both pace and control. Those technical strengths have made her a major contributor for Tstreet this season, most recently hitting a 10-foot ball on an overpass. Along with her talent on the court, Hobbs carries a 4.0 GPA and brings positive energy every time she steps on the floor.

“I play mainly outside and a little bit of right side, and I feel my biggest strength is my ability to read the court and react,” Hobbs told Prep Dig Nevada.

Heading into the UA Next Middle School Camp, Hobbs hopes to continue growing her game while competing alongside other motivated athletes.

“A few of my goals for this camp are to surround myself with likeminded people who are trying to play at the next level and connect with other players,” she said.

When asked what she hopes college coaches notice most, Hobbs pointed to her mindset and adaptability.

“My tenacity and my preparedness to adapt to the game at hand,” she shared.

Outside of volleyball, Hobbs says she keeps an optimistic mindset in everything she does and enjoys history and traveling.
