<p>One of the hardest jobs on the court is that of a setter. Controlling the rhythm, distributing a clean tempo, and knowing your hitters is a big ask, and these Up Next athletes in Dallas are ready for the challenge. There was a lot of talent to see in the gym on Saturday at the Up Next Showcase hosted at Excel. High energy, and all out play, gave for some fun volleyball, and the setters of 2031-33 are ready to lead by example. She did well keeping the rhythm on her side of the court and pushing hitters to match pace. Her set is consistent and clean out of her hands. She demonstrates quick and efficient footwork that aligns with her tempo, showing no signs of slowing down the pace. Khloe brings a consistent game and good leadership to the game that only seems to be getting better as she spends more time on the court.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Priya Gonzalez, setter from Allen, Texas, came into the showcase with the confidence and consistency any good setter needs. Taking on the role of leading the court, Priya connected well with hitters, communicated with those on the court alongside her, and set a tempo that made the game flow. Her ability to play defense first before moving to the second touch, shows her versatility and commitment to play before position. Hustle and a developing IQ for the game is what is setting Priya apart this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Azalea Dendy, a 2031 setter from San Antonio, made the trip to Dallas to show what she's got in store for the upcoming season. She does well getting her feet to the ball and setting with clean hands from anywhere on the court. She hustles to make the play and pushes the ball to her pins on a high tempo to ensure them time to get to the ball with an aggressive attack. Her timing, technique and tempo are showing to be great indicators of her abilities as a growing setter. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Emelia Dellenbach, attending the showcase in her home club at Excel, came in setting a clean and even tempo throughout the event. Pushing herself to transition and move to keep her feet under the ball. With impressive footwork and a good eye for the game, Emelia shows her comfort and confidence on the court. As she continues to develop her technique she will be something to see this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1012016' first='Miranda' last='Gong'], 2031 setter taking on this upcoming season with [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] 14 National Green, came in setting a smooth tempo for her court. Doing the hard job of pushing to connect with her middles and utilize them as often as possible. During play she set the tempo early and encouraged hitters to play at the pace she was setting. A difficult job for setters is taking control of the net, and Miranda is showing that is up for the challenge. </p>
