Cy Ranch defeat Foster on the road and extend winning streak

Foster now have four wins and two losses in district play and a positive 16-13 win record for the season. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players of the Match</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Fields was pretty much automatic at the net for Cy Ranch and was the focal point of their offense. The senior outside hitter was very effective from both pins and made a difference at the end of set three, in the only moment of the match in which the Mustangs were under pressure. Fields made the most of her impressive leaping ability and her strong right arm, but the main aspect of her offense was her court vision, which allowed her to find nice angles for her swings and great spots for her shots and helped her remain consistent. She only played the net rotations and wasn't much involved in serve-receive, but handled the serves that went her way well.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/grtorres/status/2103273150519619728?s=20 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bello scored a good chunk of Cy Ranch's first points in the match, setting the tone early and keeping Foster under pressure from the start. The junior's outside hitter's athleticism and firepower consistently put her in great positions to score, most notably when she was set in the middle in a combination play, and she capitalized on it with powerful and well-placed swings. Bello's blocking was also a big factor for the Mustangs as she got some stops, including the game-winning point, and was excellent at pressuring opponents at the pin. The pin hitter also played impressive defense, combining superior positioning and great reflexes to make plays on the back row.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/09/2J4A0050.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1045273" /></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Harvey led Cy Ranch's back row efforts with confidence and authority and helped the Mustangs have a solid and steady performance. The junior libero's passing kept the team in system for most of the match, and she was always one step ahead of everyone else, getting in front of the pin hitters to make the first contact and free them up to swing when she had a chance. Harvey stood out on defense, using her quickness and ball control to perform great digs. The libero also did well when asked to set in transition, occasionally using her hands and always delivering the ball into good locations to her hitters.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/09/2J4A0006_2b9b6d.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1045247" /></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Tompkins played a big role in Cy Ranch's victory by running a dynamic and free-flowing offense. The junior setter excelled with her distribution and showed a wide repertoire, using combination plays and moving players around to consistently get her hitters in good spots to score. Tompkins also showed confidence to score on setter dumps and contributed on defense. The setter came off the bench at the end of set three, when the Mustangs went through difficult moments, and helped them regain their offensive rhythm and close the match.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/09/2J4A0023_1d9bb7.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1045258" /></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bierman was Foster's most used and most efficient offensive player in the match. The junior outside hitter used her length and offensive range very well and scored at a good rate from the left, right, and middle back positions. As Foster struggled with their passing in many moments, Bierman constantly operated out of system, and she showed good vision and resourcefulness to put the ball down in difficult situations. The senior setter did a good job of tracking passes off the net and showed good ability to get the ball to the pin from anywhere on the court. When in system, Adamson demonstrated great creativity, moving players around and using all of her hitters and showing an impressive repertoire with her playmaking.
