Firepower Fuels Movement in the 2028 State Rankings

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The State Rankings release is here!!! We have unveiled the top 101 players in this latest publishing of the 2028 class. Miss Trevino is a six-rotation outside hitter who plays the position with a composure and intelligence that separates her from players who rely on physical tools alone. Prep Dig scouts have described her game, specifically at a Houston tourney, where NRG 16 AMPD Navy finished 19th, noting that she used her length and vision to efficiently put balls down at the net rather than simply swinging with power. Her serve was equally impactful. She fired aggressive floaters that generated aces consistently and went on long service runs that changed the momentum of matches. When the serve came her way she handled first contact with the same calm confidence she brings to the front row demonstrating that the six-rotation value she provides is real rather than just listed on a profile. I personally have seen her grow over the last few years in person and she is one to watch. Power mixed with grace equals a player who can be a show-stopper at any level. Our scouts have not been subtle about what they see: an athlete who is already at another level compared to her age group in terms of vertical and quickness, combining both in a way that very few players her class year possess even one of separately. She led Fulshear in scoring as a sophomore on a team that reached the UIL 6A D1 State Final in 2024 and the second-team all-district recognition she earned reflects consistent production against the quality of competition in District 20-6A. Beyond the attack, she passes at a high level and goes on long serving runs that make her a genuine six-rotation contributor rather than a matchup-dependent attacker. Currently ranked 7th overall in the 2028 class in Texas by Prep Dig, the question around [player_tooltip player_id='694200' first='Jada' last='Skinner'] is not whether she will be a major recruit. It is how high the ceiling goes. Her body control is the first thing they noted, pointing to how she adjusts to any set while the ball is still in the air rather than committing to a contact point and executing regardless of the set location. The footwork that gets her there is quick and deliberate and the power she generates at contact comes from the way she uses her entire body through the swing, engaging her core and rotating her shoulders at the point of contact rather than relying on arm strength alone. Her approach touch sits at 10'1", which at 6'1" means she is attacking from a height that defenses have very few reliable answers for. She posted 17 kills and 11 digs with a 2.3 passer rating in a single match last fall, which reflects both the offensive production and the back row contribution that make her profile complete. The move up the Prep Dig rankings list is the next chapter of a recruiting story that has been building since she arrived at Highland Park as a freshman.
