Very quick and technical, the junior was always in the right spots to make plays on the back row and was very precise with her deliveries. Nesloney embraced the responsibility of making the first contact for her team and stepped up to handle serves between a teammate and her and to get to free balls. The libero also stood out when she had to set in transition, using her hands to feed her hitters at the pin.

Turosik and her Providence Classical team earned three wins and two losses over the weekend. The junior stood out as one of the best defenders in the event, doing a great job of extending her body to get to the ball on the back row and displaying excellent technique to control it. Turosik also led the team's serve-receive efforts with solid efficiency, using her great platform to absorb the impact and direct the ball towards her setter. She did a good job at the service line, too, serving aggressively and keeping opponents under pressure.

Slania represented the Kinkaid team that got two wins and three losses in the tournament. The libero was always on top of things on the back row, moving quickly to the ball and using her solid fundamentals to make contact with it. Slania was very consistent in serve-receive, moving with quick lateral steps and getting her full body behind the ball before making contact with it. The junior also made an impact when playing defense, standing out with solid positioning, excellent last-second adjustments and remarkable ball control.

Howell and her Kingwood Legacy side were downed in all five matches they played. The junior libero was one of the bright spots on her team, performing consistently for them on the back row. Howell had to deal with some tough serves that went her way and did well for the most part, keeping the ball in a playable zone for her setter. The libero also appeared well when playing defense, showing great reflexes to get to tips and solid ball control to handle hard-driven swings.

The Texas high school volleyball season continues to progress at full pace, and while most of the eyes are turned to the teams competing in the public tournament organized by the University Interscholastic League (UIL), there's a ton of talent spread among the many programs linked with private schools in the Lone Star State as well.
