showed why she belongs in conversations about top defensive specialists in the state. At 5’4″, she plays with speed, anticipation, and confidence that immediately stands out. During camp play, she tracked balls aggressively and covered ground with impressive quickness. Hard-driven attacks did not faze her as she absorbed pace and redirected digs with control. Just as important was her voice; she communicated constantly and helped organize the defense in front of her. Teammates responded to her presence, and it was clear she commands respect on the floor. Miss Nesloney looked comfortable competing against nationally recognized talent, which speaks volumes about her preparation and composure. Defensive specialists who combine leadership with high-level ball control are invaluable, and she demonstrated both in Kansas City

Nesloney and her TAV Houston 16 Black team will get to compete in the 16 Invitational Division in Round Rock. Very quick with her movement, she’s very hard to score at because of how much ground she can cover, meaning tips and deflected shots aren’t out of range for her. Nesloney has a great attitude in the back row, too, and will step up to handle the first contact every time she can. The libero has superior ball control and is very precise both when playing defense and in serve-receive.

Please officially welcome Miss Nesloney to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 70th best overall prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for the John Cooper School and also for the TAV Houston volleyball club. Having seen Morgan a few times in our showcases we held in the Houston area and during the club season, she has always impressed us with her skill set out of the back row. Blessed with super speed and great balance, she was born to play the libero position. When you first see her five foot three frame, you may not expect much out of her, but she has incredible court vision and a heart that will not let her stop pursuing the ball. College coaches need to be adding her to their short list of players to watch this coming club season, because she will be a great addition to someone’s roster in a few years. Her emergency skills alone will excite any spectator who stops by her court. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot amongst the best players in our State Rankings.

Nesloney led the backcourt efforts of the John Cooper team that tied for third with a campaign of four wins and one loss. The sophomore’s quickness was probably her most impressive skill during the day as, on several occasions, she would come out of nowhere to get to the ball and make the first contact. Nesloney was very aware of her role as a libero and used that ability to step in front of her teammates to pass or handle a free ball, freeing them up to focus on offense. The libero was also very clean every time she made contact with the ball, passing dimes and performing high-level defensive actions.

Morgan is definitely a leader on the court, constantly communicating with her teammates and guiding them through plays. She is always in motion, following the ball with an impressive agility, her feet never ceasing to move as she anticipates each play. In addition to her perpetual movement, Morgan possesses remarkable speed and discipline in her defense, ensuring she gets into the right position as quickly as possible while maintaining keen awareness of the ball’s trajectory. Her natural instincts as a hustler shine through, as she fully understands that the action doesn’t stop until the whistle blows; the ball has to be kept in play at all costs. Throughout the game, she made several game-changing saves, exhibiting her dedication by sacrificing her body to dive for the ball and prevent it from hitting the ground.
