Mid-Season Report: Highlighting Unbeatens

Below are some of the remaining unbeates representing different divisions, but with some prolific numbers and top talent characterizing their success so far.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>SETON Saints</strong> | Division: I | Conference: GGCL</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong><em>Overview:</em></strong> Seton is the two-time defending Ohio state champions in DI and have showed very little concern thus far in their effort to grow their dynasty through 2026. Their perfect record stands at 16-0 and including only dropping one set so far, which came recently in a big GGCL match versus St. Ursula. In fact, they have given up more than 20 points in a single set in just three frames thus far. Junior setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='582224' first='Penelope' last='Reisman']</strong> has been a long-time fixture atop the 2028 Ohio rankings as she is so good at commanding her team's offense along with contributing well in other phases of the game individually. Senior attacker <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='480837' first='Charley' last='Moeddel']</strong>, a Xavier commit, currently leads the GGCL offensively as the only hitter to surpass 200 total kills thus far at 223. Libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='582218' first='Maggie' last='Timmerman']</strong> is also considered one of the best in Ohio in her position as she is a stablizer in the first-touch phase that helps ease Reisman's ability to balance their offense. The GGCL features some of Ohio's top teams and Seton has take care of them all in the first round of league play. On the defensive side, they slow down opponents through thier 38 digs and seven blocks per match. Ranked #2 in DII in the most recent Ohio poll, this team is balanced throughout their rotation and in the contributions they get from a core group of veterans. Unbeaten in 2025, they continue that trend on the play of a core group of veterans that provide great balance in what they do on both sides of the ball. The Senecas are well coached and consistently feature highly fundamental individual and team play. This fall they are led offensively by Santa Clara commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='480860' first='Bella' last='Borgio']</strong>. Borgio has been part of this team's effort since her freshman season as she is putting up career best numbers in her final year. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='790586' first='Gracie' last='Miller']</strong> is nearly just as effective in her all-around game. Junior middle <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='790584' first='Hope' last='Waire']</strong> is back and performing at a high rate with career best numbers offensively. Senior setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='503990' first='Bryn' last='Dircksen']</strong> might be their x-factor though as the setter is so good at leading Calvert's offense and getting her attackers into good situations.
