Several Nevada players recently added major career numbers to their résumés, with setters reaching 1,000 assists and hitters putting away their 500th kill. The 6-foot-1 sophomore recorded 332 kills as a freshman and had added 160 more through September 18, putting her at 492 before her latest matches pushed her across the milestone. Gidge also competes for Vegas Aces, where her team earned a bid to Nationals this past spring. She is producing 3.9 kills per set this season and hitting .259, showing that her growing career total is being paired with improved efficiency. After putting down 316 kills as a freshman, Jackson has added 210 this fall for 526 total, while averaging 4.5 kills per set and hitting .415 this season. She has also recorded 47 aces and 46 digs, but her attacking production remains the headline as one of Nevada's most dangerous young pins.
