The Beast of the Northeast has become one of the premier tournaments for the opening weekend when it comes to high school volleyball. 32 teams make their way to the Champion Center in Appleton, including two from Michigan. For Mosinee, it was their turn to make a statement where they took home the title over Luxemburg-Casco in the championship.

Who Made A Statement?
Edgar will be a team to watch in Division 4. They are going to go toe to toe in a loaded sectional, but they notched some big wins over the weekend. They were able to defeat Luxemburg-Casco in pool play while LC went on to finish second overall. They also defeated Stevens Point who is returning a strong core of players from a D1 state tournament team fro 2025.
Luxemburg-Casco caught fire on day two where they defeated defending state champion Manitowoc Lutheran to start the day, Holmen, and DC Everest before falling to Mosinee in the final.

DC Everest was a bit of a question mark and made their way to the final four. Brooke Johnson Brooke Johnson 5'4" | S WI was a dominant force out of the middle, pacing the Evergreens. They nearly knocked off New Berlin West and in the bracket play were able to take down West De Pere and Hortonville.
Fox Valley Lutheran was on the wrong end of a three way tie in pool play which landed them in the the challenge round on day two. They dropped one set on day two, blazing through the competition where they are sitting at 10-1 through week one winning the Battle of the Valley Tournament hosted by Xavier.
