Aubrey Frey Aubrey Frey 5'9" | OH/DS/L Luxemburg-Casco | 2027 State #145 Nation WI might be a year away from this award, but she is someone who should be on the radar.  As a junior she has already eclipsed over 1000 kills and 1000 digs in her career. She is on track to pass 500 kills in a season, averaging over five kills per set.  Her sophomore season, she was a huge part in the Luxemburg-Casco run to a state runner up finish earning 1st Team All State honors. She is part of FC Elite Volleyball Club where her 16s Navy team earned an open bid to nationals this summer.  She committed to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches located in East Texas, a division one school part of the Southland Conference. 

Another dynamic six rotation outside hitter in this group is Aubrey Frey Aubrey Frey 5'9" | OH/DS/L Luxemburg-Casco | 2027 State #145 Nation WI out of Luxemburg-Casco. In 2024 as a sophomore, Frey racked up just under 500 kills where she was a key piece to their D2 state runner up finish.  As the top outside hitter in Prep Dig’s Class of 2027 from Wisconsin, Frey will have plenty of options when it comes to the next level.  Along with being a dynamic point scorer, she is elite in her serve receive and defense where she will be getting looks at the next level as an outside or libero.  Luxemberg-Casco has some key pieces back along with Frey that includes setter Alayna Deprez Alayna Deprez 5'6" | S Luxemburg-Casco | 2026 State WI and libero Rylan Kaminski. 

Aubrey is a dynamic and aggressive outside hitter. If she has the option to take an aggressive swing on the ball, she will. Her volleyball IQ is through the roof, and she takes up so much space on the court. She can comfortably cover almost half the court in serve reception against competitive servers. Aubrey could individually be one of the best passers and hitters in the state, but she brings both to the table.

Aubrey is not only a stand-out athlete in all of the obvious ways including her raw talent, power, and consistency, but also in many spots that are harder to notice as well. Aubrey has a volleyball IQ that is sky-high and can take on a very heavy load in serve receive. Her footwork in pass-to-attack is lightning-fast, and she can terminate across the net. Aubrey was a First-Team All-State selection and helped her team to a State Runner-Up finish.

Aubrey is one of the top-ranked athletes in her class, and for good reason. She has a high volleyball IQ and can execute nearly flawlessly. Abrey dominated in the Regional Finals against NDA with 15 kills and hitting 0.371. She also had 12 digs and 20 service receptions. Isabella Vandervelden was another key player who contributed 12 kills.

Aubrey is another one of the top athletes in this class who is delivering during the high school season. She has 330 kills and is hitting 0.247, an impressive number for a pin. She also has over 300 digs and nearly 700 service receptions. Aubrey is a high-volume player for the ranked Luxemburg-Casco and really steps up for her team.

Frey takes a big aggressive swing on the ball and has a nice wrap on top of the ball to get it to snag the back line. She creates a nice angle adjustment in serve receive. Frey can smoke a backrow attack into the 1 corner for an instant point.

Aubrey was also on a team that traveled from Wisconsin to compete in the Iowa Sizzle. She is an incredibly well-rounded six-rotation athlete. Her setter finds her no matter where she is on the court because she can terminate from nearly anywhere. She has a lot of power but is also smart yet aggressive with her shots.
