Our instant standouts feature from this event delved further into this topic, but I'm still so thrilled by the new venues permeating the fall season. We've also seen the growing influence of underclassmen with some of Nebraska's top high school powerhouses. It's a theme we addressed after visiting the Bellevue West Invite, and we caught up with many of the same competitors at last weekend's tournament. Ruch has been squarely in the 2029 spotlight since her outstanding spring season with Nebraska Elite 15 Apex. Her ability to flex between the middle and the right gave Nebraska Elite tons of lineup flexibility. But aside from her positional versatility, Ruch brings a high-flying hammer that can terminate from anywhere. In fact, Millard North has frequently wielded Ruch on the left antenna to maximize her attacking volume and scoring potential. Blomenkamp isn't exclusively valued for her precise second contacts, either. She has flourished while operating next to the setter, becoming Southeast's go-to slide hitter in two-hitter rotations. Gangwish has added to the optimism through her unique blend of scoring prowess and defensive excellence. This right-side hitter produced some clutch kills behind the setter during Gretna's three-set gauntlet with Papillion-La Vista South. Gangwish can also produce soft block touches to prime her teammates for easy attacking chances in transition. We caught a glimpse of this during her club season with Premier Nebraska 14 Black, which ended with some podium hardware at USAV Nationals. Matras gets her feet to the ball quickly and will readily fill seams in the serve-receive pattern. Papillion-La Vista South has made an immediate bid to get these skills on their side of the net at the varsity level. And, like any other setter we've seen in the Papio South lineup, Eymann can play across the front row and deliver deceptive dumps to keep opposing teams off-balance.
