Gretna logged another runner-up finish at a stacked weekend tournament, so the Dragons are leaving little doubt about their postseason readiness. Gangwish has added to the optimism through her unique blend of scoring prowess and defensive excellence. This right-side hitter produced some clutch kills behind the setter during Gretna’s three-set gauntlet with Papillion-La Vista South. Gangwish can also produce soft block touches to prime her teammates for easy attacking chances in transition. This is an important “wildcard” piece of the puzzle as Gretna seeks its peak form.

Gangwish was one of the earliest additions to our 2029 radar after she appeared at last year’s Prep Dig Freshman Showcase. Her top-performer status at the event just scratched the surface of what this Gretna standout can accomplish. Gangwish flourished on the right pin at the GPR Bid Tournament and punctuated Premier Nebraska 15 Black’s undefeated run. Aside from her ability to put balls away, Gangwish’s knack for wing blocking makes her an essential part of 15 Black’s relentless defense.

Premier Nebraska 15 Black joined its 15 Gold counterparts in Sunday’s top 15s division, allowing players like Gangwish to shine against tough foes. This high-flying pin hitter can adjust to whatever set she’s given and has a mature feel for tooling the block. Gangwish also gets involved in defensive phases with her technically sound blocking form. 15 Black’s challenging early-season slate will pay dividends when GJNC bids are at stake.

Here’s another one of our can’t-miss top performers. Gangwish has a knack for driving through the ball and producing exceptional heat in her swings. Her consistent aggression was particularly impressive as she adjusted to varying setting styles during six-on-six drills. Gangwish joins many of her club teammates at Gretna High School and is surely a future force at the varsity level.
