Pin Hitters to Watch at DFC on Day 2

The pin hitter groups at the Durango Fall Classic will feature plenty of size, versatility and point-scoring ability, and Nevada has several players who fit that mold. This first group includes a mix of experienced seniors and rising underclassmen who are producing from the pins, the service line and in six rotations. Each brings something a little different, but all have the ability to make a noticeable impact throughout the weekend. Catch all of the action starting on Friday, September 18, 2026.    Quinto has been Desert Oasis' top offensive option, averaging 3.1 kills per set. She gives the Diamondbacks a go-to hitter who can carry a heavy attacking workload. Her ability to consistently produce from the outside will be important against the physical blocks and strong defensive teams in their pool.     Gonsalves has been a steady offensive presence for Durango and leads the Trailblazers with 13 aces. Her ability to contribute from the pin and service line gives Durango another scoring option. As a senior, she also brings experience to a team that will be playing in front of a home crowd at one of the biggest tournaments of the season.     Garcia has been efficient when given opportunities, posting 25 kills and a .305 hitting efficiency through the early part of the season. She adds even more depth to an already strong Faith Lutheran pin group. That efficiency gives the Crusaders another option they can turn to when opponents start keying on their primary attackers     Villanueva gives Bishop Manogue another versatile attacking option on the pins. Her ability to play both outside and opposite adds flexibility to a deep Miners front row. That positional versatility can be especially useful during tournament play when teams may need to adjust quickly from match to match.     Anderson gives Durango a strong all-around presence on the right side and contributes well beyond attacking. Her 82 digs show she can help defensively, while 21 blocks and 16 aces add value at the net and from the service line.
