Prep Dig Champions Clash Before Durango Fall Classic

Some your very own Prep Dig Prospects &amp; Commits between California &amp; Nevada showed up to compete as nationally ranked programs in Clash of the Champions hosted at Bishop Gorman High School. This match has become an annual reason to expect a very powerful mix-up just before the classic and last night was no different.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With several programs nationally ranked in the top 25 descending into Las Vegas for the classic, Prep Dig Nevada &amp; Prep Dig California stopped by the house of Gorman to check out this battle. She is unreal and she is poised! This 2029 prospect is insanely talented, insanely strong and her maturity is beyond her years. Zarah faced her challengers head on, feared nothing and made it point to prove her worth, winning the award for the best player for Gorman during the match. She flexed some major strength through the entire match, showcased skills by overcoming massive contentious blocking attempts, and much of this came as a direct result of her pre-serve communication, her in-game adjustments, and the determination to power through with defense that forced the opponents to change their approach and hitting directions. Zarah's will to succeed in her offensive attacks further proved she was not going to be hindered. Against Mater Dei, she came out the gates swinging, attacking, and making a firm statement as a six-rotation foundational piece of this potent Gorman offense as she competed against some of the best talent in the nation. Ali came through with big-time passes, several service receptions &amp; saves that propelled her team to raise their level of intensity, and when Ali was pressing downhill, there was very little ability to stop her momentum. Ali's approach and elevation is tremendous and witnessing her ability to power through the strength of opposition is amazing. Ashiedu showcases fast transitional speed with her feet coupled with a swift swing or push to tool the block for points. She works efficiently and in tandem with her pin hitters for swing blocks that challenge the opposing hitters, forcing redirection that provides her team with the ability to maintain in-system offensive attacks, and something every coach desires in their athletes is the ability to be coachable.
